Came for a business luncheon and it was the worst dining experience in Guadalajara. Very embarrassing! Lots of staff standing around. No one seemed to care if we got drinks, our food, additional things requested, like sauces or a menu Wine was poured by one person, asked for a second glass, was shamefully told it must be poured by a specific wine pouring specialists, but that person got around to pouring it when our bill came. It wasn’t the same person who poured the first glass. Ridiculous. Ordered the whole day catch fish. At most well established restaurants patrons would expect it would be filet table side. Nope, here’s your plate, pick away. When I finally got to it, it tasted like it had been cured in salt, no mention of this on the menu. When we asked the server about it, instead of fixing or apologizing, there was an excuse “it’s the soy sauce” not sure that’s relevant when it’s inedible. Left spending waaaay too much, hungry, and embarrassed for selecting the restaurant for a business meeting. The trifecta of dining disappointment. Heard the table next to us complain he wanted his steak cooked slightly more, server walked away, never came back and his dining guests had already finished their meals. Just horrible service. Can’t Imagine how long they will be in business treating paying guests like this. So many other options in the area. Go...
Read moreMy friends and I arrived at 20:10 and registered for next available table (23 tables ahead of us) and they mentioned there was a 2 hours wait and offered a text message option to let us know when our table was going to be ready; needless to say we never received this text message and after checking if our table was ready, they had available tables. Leaving behind the bad experience with the availability of a table, right at the moment we sat down (22:23), the waiter mentioned we had only 20 minutes to order because the kitchen was going to stop preparing food at that time. While we were eating, we were approached 4 times letting us know the restaurant was going to close (before 23:00). At 23:10, they gave us the check and started collecting everything from our table even the French fries my friend ordered. We noticed this behavior in all of the tables near by as well and all of the people that were still eating or drinking had that plates and cups switched to a disposable one. We paid at 23:29, feeling like we didn't enjoy this time at all. The food was OK, but the treatment to their customer is the worst part of this restaurant, I don't recommend it unless if you want to...
Read moreThe service provided at this establishment is very poor when compared to the service provided at similar restaurants in the US. The waiters are slow and inattentive. I believe it is a cultural thing, Mexicans are not service oriented generally speaking, there are some places where service is great, but not here. The hostesses are rude with an entitled attitude, arrogant as if they are doing you a favor. They are very classist, they can deny you service if you don’t meet a certain appearance or look. You must look European or American (white) to get service. I am not sure why, but I am assuming if you look too Mexican, dark colored, they may think you have no money to pay, as the restaurant is expensive for Mexican standards, who knows. Other than that the drinks and the food are very good. Every time I go to Guadalajara, I like to eat there, the oysters, the fish, and the meats are high quality and delicious taste. I must say, the hostesses are all young and beautiful, they have the European look, that could explain their attitude, they may think their job is beneath them, other than that, the...
