La Moresca — Restaurant in Jalisco

Our party of three was looking forward to eating at this restaurant due to recommendations and reviews online. The customer service is horrible. They initially tried to seat us at a Bar Table and we did not think it was appropriate because the table was too small and we had a minor with us. They then moved us to a table directly in front of the restrooms which was unacceptable since the area gave off a bad oder and was dirty. When we asked to be seated across the corridor with a view of the street they refused, even though several tables were empty and available. Apparently this restaurant gives preference to smokers, even though no one was smoking but that was the reason we could not be seated anywhere else. Seems like they discriminate against children dining at this establishment and therefore we decided to leave and...

Creo que todo tapatío o frecuente visitante a la ciudad de Guadalajara ha tenido la oportunidad de visitar este lugar. Desde sus inicios en López Cotilla donde se presentaba como una propuesta fresca en comida italo - mediterránea, con buenos tragos y excelente servicio. El paso del tiempo ha hecho que este restaurante se haya convertido en una empresa y es notorio su cambio a estos días. Explotaron su fórmula al punto de lo que es hoy.

Al abrir en Andares entraron a un esquema diferente.

Lo primero que te dicen las chicas de la entrada antes de que las saludes es : " no hay terraza " a pesar de que no tengan reservaciones o haya mesas vacías cuidan este spot para sus clientes frecuentes o que sé yo. Así le preguntes la hora a esta niña, su respuesta es: "no hay terraza" En fin ya no soy de esos comensales que buscan el aparador que es ese corredor de Andares donde todos se miran, intenado ver a quién reconocen o criticar la vestimenta del señora. Así como sentarse junto a señores con miradas fijas hacia las curvas femeninas que circulan la plaza.

El párrafo anterior afecta directamente el siguiente punto: Ambiente del Lugar. Ya no sientes que vas a comer, sientes que vas a ver gente. No te está preocupando el protocolo de una comida íntima con tus acompañantes, sino todo lo contrario. Es una mala decisión este lugar para ir en pareja o familia.

Servicio: Creo que aquí tienen un buen punto, es muy stándar ente un mesero y otro. No esperas a que te sirvan la comida, ni los alimentos. Nunca he tenido queja sobre esta cuestión. Quizás sea una de las cosas lo mantienen sólido. Es muy agradable ir con amigos a tomar una copa de tinto y acompañar con algo.

Comida: La carta ya está muy trillada, incluso yo creo que muchos ya ni piden el menú. Las entradas se vuelven monótonas. La calidad es buena. más no llega a la excelencia. Es regular, cumple con el mínimo esperado.

Las Bebidas ha empezado a encareserse, quizás como todo en este país. Pero ya sus rangos de precio se equiparan con restaurantes de mayor alcurnia.

La música es buena, por momentos un poco fuerte, pero se comprende.

Los postres son regulares, cumplen más no te llevas un sabor a recordar.

La moresca sin duda alguna tiene un reto muy fuerte, que es el no perder ese toque de buen sazón y comida que te deje muy satisfecho. Es un restaurante que de una u otra manera regresas por su ubicación y porque sabes que cumple sin fallar dentro de su ya...

I rarely leave a negative review, but my experience here was disappointing from start to finish.

The pasta was overcooked and far too salty, and the fried mozzarella appetizer was not enjoyable at all. The food simply wasn’t up to Italian standards, and sadly, it felt more like a fancy Italian-themed restaurant than a truly authentic one.

What made it worse is that nobody seemed able to address or fix the situation, which left the whole dinner feeling like a missed opportunity. I left with the impression that the high reviews didn’t match my experience.

So… not sure if I’ll give it a second chance, but I hope this feedback is taken in the spirit it’s intended: honest, fair, and with hope for a better experience...
