Such a great experience at Las Casitas!
We went on a Friday night (I think you can call and make a reservation) with no reservation, and were seated fairly quickly. We ordered the Shrimp Taco appetizer, the Seafood Pasta, and Ribeye entrees. All were phenomenal! Cooked perfectly, great portion size, and very good flavor. Price was fairly reasonable as well. I think we paid $50/$60 USD for everything including drinks.
The only thing I might mark as a "negative" (and idk if this was just a Mexico thing) but servers kind of take a while to bring the tab. I'm so used to dining in the US and restaurants/servers practically kicking you out, or just being in a hurry in general to leave. It's definitely a different speed/pace when dining in Mexico. There's really no rush to leave, and servers don't pressure you at all.
Overall a wonderful dining experience, and highly recommend for...
Read moreFirst, a quick shout out to our awesome server, Ismael! His service on both visits was nothing short of outstanding. He paced our orders perfectly, anticipated our needs before we could even ask, and surprised us with a complimentary Happy Journey dessert from the Chef on our last night. Each drink and food item was excellent - I highly recommend the Cream of Shrimp soup (Crema de Camarones), if you like that sort of dish.
I also highly recommend reservations on Friday and Saturday nights, as it is a super popular spot to enjoy the ocean breeze AFTER the sunset (because they do not open until 6:30pm). That's a real smart move on the part of management - you should be enjoying the sunset on the actual beach, anyways, which is a short walk down some steps and a path ;-)
NOTE: The prices, per person, are in Mexican Pesos . . . NOT...
Read moreWe have been in Mexico for 10 days and it was the worst experience. When you arrive, there are 3 persons at the reception, but they don't even look at you, busy with papers (it was the same attitude 2 hours later when we left). We ordered their signature tropical cocktail with tequila, lime , mango and Coco cream. the taste was flat. It turned out that they had forgotten to add mango and Coco cream.... Their promise of the feast of lobster tacos, turned to be 3 tacos, 2 with more than average meat and the third one with a time plastic piece of lobster. The ceviche of scallops was the worst I have tried, we sent it back. The mahi mahi was overcooked and no taste. The waiter Luis was attentive but it doesn't change the more than average food quality and...
