I like the ice cream in front and watching the tourists get their Mickey D fix when they can't even last a week eating real food. Sometimes it's difficult getting past bathroom security if your the type of person that likes to wash their hands before they eat, like myself. They don't let you use them unless you've placed an order. That said, the easy way of walking in, washing your hands. Order your food.. then eat doesn't work. You have to order, and then quickly run to the baño hoping there is no one in it, wash, then run back and hope someone didn't grab your order. Or you can wait until you receive your order, go to a table and leave your food unattended while you go wash your hands. I guess paying someone full time wages is cheaper than losing a couple rolls of toilet paper each day or worse yet. God forbid they allow one of the local beach vendors relieve himself quickly without having to walk to the other end of the malecon or use a stinky portapotty on the beach but I understand, water cost money. As does papel, if they don't order, how would McDonald's stay in business having to cover an extra 30 pesos in water and maybe 10 for the paper. That would be another $40 pesos a day. That works out to more than $50 dollars a month, they could lose. You wouldn't stay in business long if you had to cover a $50 dollar nut each month. $600 dollars a year. I'm hoping though, that these people, who I imagine are extensively trained in protecting baños, and the valuable commodities available in these baños make more that the $600 a year, though it would make good business sense. I suppose though, it allows the other employees to concentrate on making the healthiest food possible as opposed to always keeping an eye on the bank.. McDonald's rocks..!! I think they may even offer home delivery here. They used to offer it but I haven't seen any bikes lately so perhaps a visit to their website might be the way to check. I think the food served here is fresher than in Canada. The pollo and huevos taste much better here. I am waiting for the Mcgriddles to be added. They are my favorite...
Read moreI have food allergies. I also have Google translater on my cellphone. I took my time to type my food allergies into GT before I placed my order. The server spoke some English and I verbally asked if she understood the written information. She confirmed.
She rang up my order and charged me too much money. I had a intuitive moment and asked to speak with the manager.
I showed him my translated text and he confirm one of the items I order was cooked in the product I am allergic to. OMG!!!
I AM AT RISK OF AN ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK!!!
I explained that to the Manager and his response was the cashier didn't know...
My response was She should have been taught.
My suggestion to McDonald's of Latin America. Place a translated Ingredients card on every counter for people with food allergies to read themselves.
It's only a minor cost to you, but a huge profit in revenue. Tourist will appreciate the extra effort and you will receive good reviews....
Read moreTerrible……Terrible. Never again at this restaurant. Wanted a Crispy Chicken and after paying, told no chicken was cooked. Don’t know whether they went out back and killed a chicken but 15 minutes later my order was ready but than again the meal was incorrect. Another 5 minutes I was able to sit down with my Crispy Chicken and cold fries. In the real world, Canada or USA this type of service at a McDonald’s would not be tolerated but once again, I...
