Really bad service. (1)Serve me a juice smaller than everyone else. (2)The juice was a solid that I had to chew so I had to ask for it to be strained (it was the last of the jar) (3)They did not tell me that the juice was 15 pesos more than it was listed on the menu. (4)They watered my juice down after straining it. (5)They argued with me!
Went for breakfast and all was good until I ordered my juice. I have a pet peeve when restaurants serve juice I cups smaller than the rest of the cups they have. I saw the girl next to me had a green juice in a "regular sized cup" so I ordered an orange juice and wand told that they only had green juice, which was fine. Then he brought me my juice is an cup the was half the size of the rest! I figured I'd just deal with it but when I started to drink it, it was so thick I had to chew it just to swallow it... Which makes sense because I where I was sitting i could see into the kitchen and saw them pour my the last of the juice out of the jar (so I guess I got all the sediment and big piece that had sank to the bottom, I assume that's why I got the small cup to (it's all they had left. I asked them to strain it, they did, and brought it back super watered down!
I figured I just would not drink it.
When I was eating I saw them continue to bring "big cups of juice to all the other customers" When he brought the bill it hade the juice on it for $45 which is $15 more than it was on the menu. I politely explained everything and that's when the waiter started to argue with me! Saying that all the big cup had ice in them, so told him that that was not true and invited him to look ant the juices on the table next to me. Then he said "well it's because you asked for it to be strained, and I told him it was in a small cup before I asked that. Then he got all upset and walked away while I was still telling him that they watered it down too. He can back and with a new bill that had the juice for $25 pesos, which is unacceptable after the way that you've been arguing with. I went to the manager and explained that I would not be paying for that that, I would pay for the rest of my...
Read moreLiving in La Floresta right across the highway, we go there for lunch and for casual meetings with friends. The place is clean and inviting. The outdoor tables by the front can be a bit noisy from the traffic but after all you did want to sit outside and people watch right? The food ranges from good to average. Many of the dishes use pre-prepped foods so those do not have the high flavor profile you might want. The lunch and breakfast menus are the best. Somewhat pricey for Ajijic but good. The service can range from good to fair depending on the time of day and the server. The fact that most everyone is bilingual is a huge plus. AND one of the best features is the ice cream...
Read moreFirst time at this place. Lovely garden setting. The service was good. Everyone who waited on us spoke good English. I had the white lasagna (the one with chicken) and my husband had chicken parmesan.
There was no spaghetti sauce on the chicken and there was Serrano ham. The cutlet was great. But it was more of a deconstructed cordon bleu than parmesan. Delicious. Just not what we were expecting. His baked potato was topped with cream and the same Alfredo sauce that was on my lasagna. It was huge and not done all the way through.
We ordered dessert to go because portions were large. His apple pie is a whole mini pie & my piece of chocolate cake is large. Saving those treats...
