El Bar Co. Ajijic — Restaurant in Jalisco

This was a carry out dinner my husband picked up, so I have no idea about the service. We have relied on El Bar Co for carry out burgers and fries for nearly 6 years. Never again! They used to have fabulous fries and flavorful, juicy burgers. The quality has slowly been declining. Tonight was the end. The ”fries" were thin slices of barely cooked potato that had never seen a fryer. My burger was smaller than the one in my husband's package, but the same price. It was tasteless! The only things in the container that had flavor were the tomatoes, onions, and bacon on the burger. If I had been eating at the restaurant, the plate would have gone back to the kitchen! El Bar Co. El Bar Co is a medium-sized venue well known to the lakeside community for providing quality local bands, adult beverages, and decent bar food. Situated on the second floor, the bar can host a pretty good-sized crowd, although this comes at the expense of personal space as the tables are quite close to each other. Service is decent, even if it is a bit slow, but that is more about being a bit understaffed, which is common at lakeside. Bands play at 3 pm to about 630pm and there is a good-sized floor for dancers. The owner was drunk and aggressive. I had ordered a drink and was watching the band on Sunday 3/26. My sister in law was dancing. As she left the dance floor to order a drink at the bar with me, he came up to her, grabbed her water bottle from around her neck and threw at at the wall.
