I recently visited Rio Viejo with my father and friends, and it was an exceptional dining experience. This restaurant offers incredible, authentic, classical Mexican cuisine with top-of-the-line dishes and fresh ingredients.

From the moment we arrived, the attention to detail was impressive. The staff provided amazing service, ensuring everything was perfect throughout our visit. The ambiance is very fancy and clean, making it an ideal place for various occasions, whether it's a business meeting, family gathering, or a romantic date.

As someone who has visited multiple Michelin star restaurants in the United States, Paris, Peru, and Asia, I cast my vote for Rio Viejo. This place consistently delivers an incredible experience with exceptional attention to detail, outstanding dishes, and impeccable service.

We enjoyed a variety of dishes, all beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. The cocktails were also a highlight, offering a great selection to complement the meal.

Amazing little restaurant! We got a mix of dishes, Mexican and American. Butter-topped, grilled Fillet mignon with mashed potato was out of this world as were arrechera tacos. Tequila very reasonably priced and prices reflect two serving sizes or a bottle. Service was lovely and manager was also. Food came quickly. Ambiance was very romantic - dress above causal! We felt underdressed in pants and a sweater. Would be visiting again tonight but closing before we would like to arrive....

Oh my goodness this place was fantastic. I got the chicarron norteñolet me tell you it was the best chicharron I’ve ever had. I also got the flautas which were also good and my son got the stake with mash potatoes and onion ring he loved it said it was one of the best things he’s had. The star was the chicharron for me. Service is fantastic and yes it is in the expensive side so take that in to account. Oh yes the atmosphere is also lovely.

Best tacos in Guadalajara. Best mexican food in Guadalajara. A local restaurant with tapatio vibe. You can fell inmediatly the good taste of the ambiance and of course, of the quality of every single dish. Traditional tapatio atmosphere with equipales as chairs. Try the chicharron, the rib eye tacos, octupus a las brasas....more more...the salsas in molcajete are the best ! I'll be back
