Tl;Dr - Decent food/location, but we're left feeling swindled because of an unexpected and undisclosed service charge added to the bill of $150 pesos AND the food seemed to be up charged on the bill compared with the menu. We came here at the end of a fantastic hidden beach walking guided tour from Colomitos beach. It seems that this place has some sort of agreement with the tour guide because they were strongly recommending this location. The food was okay, we got the salmon which was tasty and the marlin burrito which was unexpectedly smoked and quite tough like ham. The location is scenic and the bathrooms were really nice. If you just want some cold drinks, their non-alcoholic options are good. We had a very creamy piñada and a super refreshing maracuya smoothie/slushie. The bill has an undisclosed charge of $150 pesos and all of the food seemed to be more expensive on the bill than it was on the menu, though I cannot confirm as we didn't take photos of the bill. The staff did not offer any receipt after the transaction which also raises some red flags. Overall was an alright experience but left us feeling disappointed after an otherwise great day.

This place was a perfect capstone to a long hike. Setting is perfect. You can sit in a chair right on the beach or upstairs with a view. Food was absolutely delicious. Fish tacos were fresh. Queso fundido was also fantastic. One of the best Mango Margaritas we had while in PVR. Service was excellent. No hidden tips. They even take card. Of course things are going to be a bit more expensive when you’re in a remote or difficult place to get to. Highly recommend this place if you go to Los Animas.

Warning: There is a built in service fee / tip that was not disclosed until the bill came. The wait for the food was about 30 minutes Fish tacos 5/5: 250 pesos, Delicious and a decent amount of food Shrimp grande tacos 3/5: 300 pesos, these were quite unexpected. I thought it would be the classic grilled shrimp in tacos but no. These were grill fried with beans, cheese, and chopped shrimp. Not the best

Stopped at this place to eat as part of a Tour Cruise. Our food lunch was included with our tour, so we were only responsible for drinks and appetizers we would order. After 2 mojitos and and order of guacamole with chips, our bill was brought to us for 750 pesos ($40 USD). After letting the server know that was not right, he tried to explain that each drink was over $10 USD and so was the guacamole. Our tour host had to get involved. The food was not bad, but the bad experience with the overcharge does not leave us with a good feeling about this place. We looked at their menu after the issue and nowhere do they charge over 200 pesos (over $10 USD) for guacamole or drinks. If you visit this place, confirm prices and ask for a menu up front so that you don't go through a...
