Restaurante Bar Portales del Cielo — Restaurant in Jalisco

Went with a party of 5, and we all ordered drinks and food. We asked for chips and dip for the table to start, and we were clearly brought dip and salsa from another table. When we finished the depleted amount we got, we asked for more salsa and chips for our wait and were told the salsa was "terminado" even though we saw other tables receiving some after that AND we still received a literal handful of more chips after the second time of asking. 2 people at our table ordered enchiladas, which were supposed to come with frijoles. The enchiladas weren't even 2 fingers wide and only came with cheese and sauce, then charged us for only the expensive variation on the menu (even though both variations were ordered) Food price does not match the quality, or the service. Guess that's just the kind of service gringos get here 🤷

Response to owner It's understandable that the English speaking employee was off the day we were there. However, one of the people at our table spoke Spanish and we still encountered these problems. The chips, beans and salsa may be complimentary- but how many times does a costumer need to ask for more in order to be charged instead of being told there's no more? We asked TWICE before getting a handful of chips, and that doesn't excuse the obvious scoops taken out of the complimentary serving we got in the first place. Also, if the enchiladas come with side of beans - we shouldn't have had to ask for...

SI DESEAS PASAR UNA LINDA TARDE CON TU PAREJA, FAMILIA Y/O AMIGOS... PIÉNSALO DOS VECES ANTES DE ELEGIR PORTALES DEL CIELO... TE COMPARTO MI EXPERIENCIA:

1.- EXCESIVA CANTIDAD DE MOSCAS. UNA MESERA NOS DIJO QUE ERA TEMPORADA DE MOSCAS Y A DURAS PENAS EL DUEÑO PONE UN VENTILADOR (TEXTUALMENTE ASÍ LO DIJO).

2.- PEDÍ HABLAR CON LA PERSONA GERENTE, Y LA MESERA BAJITA DE LENTES ME DIJO QUE ELLA ERA LA ENCARGADA.

3.- EL ENCARGADO GROSERO Y DESPOTA.

3.- SERVICIO LENTO Y COMIDA FRÍA.

4.- SI TU GRUPO ES GRANDE... OLVIDA CONVIVIR CON ELLOS, NO ME PERMITIERON JUNTAR LAS MESAS (AUNQUE LAS ARMEN UNA CON MESITAS INDIVIDUALES TIPO BAR) Y LES DIJERA QUE NO TENÍAMOS PROBLEMAS POR HACER UNA SOLA CUENTA.

**5.- LA PEOR RECEPCIÓN, TE CUENTO:

"...NUESTROS AMIGOS QUE YA ESTABAN ARRIBA NOS ESPERABAN E INDICARON QUE ESTABA VACIO; PERO EN LA ENTRADA QUE ES UNA TIENDA, CON RADIOS TIPO HALCÓN, PIDIERON AUTORIZACIÓN A MAS DE UN PATRÓN(A) NO SÉ, ESPERAMOS 10 MIN. APROX., LA MUJER DE LA ENTRADA SUPER GROSERA DIJO QUE ESTABA LLENO Y NO HABÍA LUGAR PARA 7 MÁS AUNQUE LE DIJIMOS QUE ESTABAN ESPERÁNDONOS.

CON CARAS DE DESAGRADO TE PERMITEN ACCESAR, TE MANDAN A UN RECORRIDO POR LA TIENDA PAR LLEGAR AL LUGAR, UNAS CHICAS EN CADA AREA VAN INFORMANDO POR RADIO TU PASO "YA PASARON LOS 7, AHÍ VAN" HASTA QUE LLEGAS AL RESTAURANTE..."

EL LUGAR ES LINDO POR LO PINTORESCO, TIENE VISTA A UNA PLAZA Y ES TRANQUILO.

EN MI EXPERIENCIA; ASÍ COMO, LA DE MIS FAMILIARES Y AMIGOS, "QUE FUE MUY MALA", OBSERVO QUE LOS DUEÑOS O ENCARGADOS:

*NO SE PREOCUPAN POR LO QUE REALMENTE LE DA VALOR, QUE ES EL TRATO AL CLIENTE POR PARTE DE LOS EMPLEADOS.

*PERMITEN A LOS EMPLEADOS TOMAR DECISIONES Y HACER COMENTARIOS QUE NO LES CORRESPONDEN.

*NO SON FLEXIBLES EN LAS NECESIDADES DE LOS CLIENTES/VISITANTES.

ESTA FUE MI EXPERIENCIA Y TE LA COMPARTO, NO DIGO QUE ASÍ SE SIEMPRE NI CON TODOS, PERO POSTERIORMENTE ENCONTRAMOS OTRO LUGAR QUE NOS SÚPER ENCANTÓ TODO LO CONTARIO DE ESTE.

!!CUANDO ELIJAS ALGÚN ESTABLECIMIENTO REALIZA UNA INVESTIGACIÓN RÁPIDA, COMENTARIOS, PRECIOS, RESEÑAS DE OTROS USUARIOS, ETC., PARA EVITAR SITUACIONES SIMILARES O POR LO MENOS SEPAS QUE PUEDES ESPERAR!!

Ate at this restaurant while we were visiting Tequila and we were warned by a tourist guide to not eat here because the service is very slow. We thought maybe he was exaggerating and ultimately decided to try it out anyways cause the patio is so pretty. We should have listened to the tour guide, the service was sooo slow and the workers were unfriendly. Our server took forever to greet us and there was only two other tables and there were plenty of servers standing around chit chatting with each other. Once we ordered our food took forever to arrive. The food was also not good the meat was gamey and salty. When we finally got our bill and left a 20% tip the snotty server didn’t even thank us or gave us a kind...
