We recently dined at Restaurante La Fonda Cholula and had an overall excellent experience. The food was delicious, with a few minor exceptions. My Chiles en nogada were a bit cold, which was a slight disappointment. However, my wife's birria was great, and our friends thoroughly enjoyed the pierna de puerco, which was abundant and flavorful.
One highlight of our meal was the freshly made guacamole, prepared right in front of us. It was creamy, fresh, and absolutely delicious – don't miss out on this!
The service was attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy. However, be sure to make a reservation, as we saw several people left outside due to the restaurant being full. Planning ahead will ensure you get a table and enjoy this fantastic dining experience.
Tips: Make a reservation, and don't hesitate to ask for your dishes to be warmed up if needed.
Overall, we'd definitely recommend Restaurante La Fonda Cholula to anyone looking for authentic and delicious...
Read moreI went there four year ago and the food was good. I just went two weeks ago food is not eatables!!! I paid for the food but will never recommend. The waiter was so embarrassed with the food that he told me that they have no chef and that they indeed change the manure. Do not waste your money and time there. Example sopes were the size of 4 quarters put together super tiny and the thickness is like a tortilla. Portions are super small. I order there best meat and it was all burn fat in a small portions. My husband plate was not even chewable!! I paid because I was embarrassed to walk without paying. This is the first place I regret paying for the small pieces I eat. My husband had to go to another place to actually eat something. I wanted to vomit the food therefore I just did not have lunch for that day. The manager did not care he only told me a should be thankful for the good service BUt I...
Read moreFood did not have any flavor, no more traditional entrees on the menu they recently changed the menu for the worst, is so hot in inside that we did not enjoyed our visit. We purchased 4 entrees a consomé , which was the main reason we when there it was my daughters favorite dish. They couldn’t even cook that right!!! guacamole and drinks total bill was 2018.00 pesos. In dollars is was 122.30 dollars!! That was insane for Mexico. I am okay spending that kind of money for lunch in Mexico but a least it needs to be worth it, that was not case this time. We have been there 5 years in a row we will not come back again. We are not picky we just expected for Cholula restaurant to provide us with a comfortable atmosphere along with great food but they failed to meet our expectations this time we will be most...
