Restaurante Terra Madre — Restaurant in Jalisco

I completely forgot to review this place while my partner and I were here, but it was really really good. We were staying in a hotel not too far and we came back several times during our 10-day stay.

The food was very reasonably priced (in fact, we probably would've paid more, and so we tipped a lot during our visits), and reliably tasty, having tried several things on the menu during each visit. There was also nearly always some kind of live singer/band in the evenings.

Nearly every visit, we were served by Yordi, (whether he still works there I don't know, our trip was several months ago) who made us feel very welcome, had great recommendations, and had great conversations where he'd practice English and I'd practice Spanish.

Buenos Días. Esta mañana pasé por sus instalaciones, temprano tipo 6am, me urgía un cargador para teléfono o el puro "cubito" para prender mi celular y hacer una llamada urgente, el joven que me atendió en la sección donde tienen la barra, de una manera un tanto, o mas bien MUY prepotente que ahí NADIE tiene cables o cargadores (lo cual es la mentira mas grande que he escuchado últimamente) le dije, "bueno dame oportunidad de conectar mi lap para usarla de cargador" y de nuevo, con un tono altanero muy poco cortes, dijo "que no les tienen permitido a personas hasta que sea la hora oficial de apertura". Yo se que no son un oxxo o distribuidor de accesorios tecnológicos, pero esa manera en la que se dirigió a mi fue totalmente lo opuesto que un restaurante necesita, tomen en cuenta que su ubicación no es para dársela de mamertos, dudo un poco que la comida sea buena y respecto al precio, me da la impresión que no es baratito y AGREGEMOSLE que tienen laborando a una persona altanera, poco cordial y que fuera de ayudarme en la "crisis" que tenía, parece que disfrutó haberme negado POR SUS HUEVOS el cargar mi teléfono unos minutos y hacer una llamada rápida. Personas con esa actitud es lo que menos necesita un restaurante, lo se porque trabajé en restaurantes durante 6 años aproximadamente y la actitud de servicio que uno adopta, aplica incluso hacia gente que no son tus clientes necesariamente (pero que si los atiendes bien y les ayudas) posiblemente lo van a recordar y te estas echando a la bolsa a un cliente nuevo. Finalmente, comentar que esta desagradable experiencia me resuelve la duda que siempre que tenido sobre su negocio, y la duda es: ¿porque siempre que paso lo veo prácticamente solo? obvio ni de chiste seré su cliente (y no porque o pueda), hay miles delegares que al menos ofrecen un buen y calido trato. Comparto esto como una critica constructiva, tomen lo que les sirva, desechen lo que no, pero sipresten atencion en el staff que tienen, es...

We went to lunch here after our shopping expedition to the Joyeria Central. Location is great, very nearby and prices are good. The food was very good and the service was good also. The only hiccup was that I ordered an aqua mineral con limon. They charged me 39 pesos as a michelada. They had already squeezed the lime in my glass and put salt on the rim.
