As a tourist I found myself walking around downtown Guadalajara. Went a little further up on my walk and found myself at Parque Morelos. The heat in the city was a bit overwhelming for me and was getting overheated. When I got to the park I found a nice area under a tree and sat down. Stayed there drinking my water, people watching and just enjoying my time. I noticed kids playing and people walking about as if the heat was not an issue with them. Some people used the park as a shortcut to their destination. Some were hurrying to catch public transportation. As I sat under the tree trying to cool off and perspiring drinking the remains of my bottle of water I keep thinking about the difference of my life in Seattle with the cold weather and the people the people in Parque Morelos and their daily enjoyment of the heat. Located in the growing technology area near in Centro Guadalajara the park is in a state of constant change and update.
The park has great access to public transportation. It is also surrounded by many shops that serve raspados and other convenience/food items.
The park has been under construction for at least a year and appears to need an additional year for completion. When finished it will have multiple fountains, beautiful walking areas, an outdoor playground, gazebo and pavilion.

Tuve la oportunidad de pasar un breve momento en el Parque Morelos y quedé gratamente sorprendido. Aunque mi visita fue corta, pude apreciar la belleza y la serenidad que ofrece este lugar.
El parque está cuidadosamente diseñado, con áreas verdes expansivas, caminos bien mantenidos y una variedad de actividades para disfrutar. Me encontré con familias que disfrutaban de picnics, niños riendo mientras jugaban en las áreas de juegos y personas relajándose junto al lago.
El lago es definitivamente uno de los puntos destacados del parque, con su agua tranquila y patos que añaden un toque pintoresco. Me hubiera gustado tener más tiempo para explorar todas las instalaciones y atracciones que ofrece el parque, como los paseos en bote y las áreas de deportes.
