El mexicano — Restaurant in Jalisco

I recently visited El Mexicano in Guadalajara at C. José María Morelos 83, Zona Centro, 44100 Guadalajara, Jal., Mexico and had an extremely troubling experience. After dining, the waiter who served us kept my credit card. Later, I discovered there was an attempt to make nearly $400 worth of unauthorized purchases on my card. When I returned to the restaurant the following morning to retrieve my card, the staff informed me that the waiter responsible was not answering his phone and could not be reached.

This incident left me with serious concerns about the integrity of the staff. Based on my first-hand experience, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant, as it appears they may employ individuals who engage in criminal behavior. I hope management takes serious action to prevent this from...

The food was very salty, the cocktail and green aguachiles had an absurd amount of salt. The fajitas aren’t terrible but you can tell the meat is just like reheated, you can just tell by taste. I had the shrimp stuffed fish filet and my husband had the carne asada. The food was good but the place is huge and it was empty. There was one family with a kid, and there was a bouncy house inflated in the back, which seemed kind of out of place. There was a live entertainer, but he was singing to a very empty place.
