I don't see why I'd want to stay anywhere else in Guadalajara!

Good: The service is second to none. Absolutely incredible experience from everyone who worked there. The valet was so kind, the bell boy so patient with my family (not easy to do). The kitchen service and wait staff in the included breakfast buffet would make us laugh and I mean, one second wouldn't pass if I ran out of coffee, before they refilled me. The breakfast buffet was very delicious. A perfect mix of traditional Mexican dishes like chilaquiles, quesadillas, fresh salsas, refried beans, flan and flautas, alongside breakfast classics like pancakes, French toast and croissants. If you wish, they'll custom make anything you wish in the kitchen, just for you, at no cost. My sister got an omelet and my mom got soy milk, which is a really big deal to her. The service was so fast with anything we needed, like extra towels. They'll hold your luggage on your last day after you check out so you can explore the city one last day. And the location is prime, you won't find a better deal. We were able to see the local market, the opera, catch a tour bus, city hall and countless art pieces and monuments all within 1 mile of the hotel.

Bad: reception forgot to leave my credit account open so when I ordered room service I had to scramble to find cash. The wifi was all but unusable in the room (this really needs to be addressed). The paint in the rooms looks like it was done in a hurry. Ikea furniture gives a slightly generic feel.

Not the best in the world, but location is everything. The reservation process is bothersome - had to deposit to a Mexican bank since I reserved on Expedia, so I learned NOT to do that again. Once I got to the hotel the desk lady assigned me my room, then about 30 minutes later knocked on my door saying she had fiven me a wrong room. I had already unpacked, so I asked her if she would let me keep this room... ah, but NO she said: my reservation was for a kig bed room, not a double. So there I go again, switching rooms.In the hassle, not caused by me, I forgot my shaving kit, which I promptly recovered that same night. Then, the following morning as I was dressing for my work assignment, I remembered leaving my belt hanging on the iron board hanger. Had to rush for work, so I didn't ask the front desk to look into this until that evening; they said they would look into this with the head cleaning lady, which -- of course -- they forgot. Same story for the nextnight, until finally she said they didn't find anything. Too bad, because I know where I left it in room 215. Breakfast was decent, restaurant staff were nice. A/C was noisy, lot of crunching and metallic sounds. Terrace was nice. If not for the negligence in assigning rooms, and the ensuing issues it caused, it would've been great. You don't get second chances to do great...

Beautiful Rooms and Rooftop Pool...Love the Toiletries in the Bathroom and the Fantastic Shower!! We could walk Everywhere we wanted to go, the Cathedral is a three minute walk, MANY restaurants and the open market all Wonderful....the Mexican people are truly kind and inviting, considering the rude comments they endure from our obnoxious president!!! ||I want to especially mention the Excellent Employees that are SO kind and helpful..front desk, doorman, maids, maintenance man, restaurant employees, manager, EVERYONE is wonderful...!!! My 89 year old mother and I stayed here for over two weeks and were treated like Royalty....Very Clean Hotel with modern amenities!! We asked for a small refrigerator for my mother's insulin and within five minutes it was brought to the room...!! The Breakfast Buffet every morning was Delicious...every day has a little variety....always eggs, fresh juice, fabulous breads and lots of Fruit choices as well as many local favorites, meats, beans ect.... The prices in the lobby restaurant, room service or even poolside service are inexpensive and EXCELLENT....I love their Cheeseburger and Fries for less than five bucks....I miss everyone at the hotel...they were SO VERY Kind to me and my mother...they gave us a memorable vacation!!
