Came in to place a take out order and waited for well over an hour for my food. About 30 mins in, I asked a waitress if my order was in process and she brushed me off saying, “it’s coming, it’s coming.”
About 15 or 20 minutes later , three people came in to pick up a huge takeout order…at least three or four bags with four containers each in them. I asked again about my order and was told to wait.
Finally, 15 mins later, a waiter brings my order and I told him that it was not ok with me that I was made to wait so long. He gets the manager who, when I told him it would’ve been better for them to tell me up front that they had a big order before mine, he said to me with a hand flip, “The world is not perfect. You have your food now.”
I was so shocked with his disrespect that I paid, took my food, and left. And now I’m making this review, my first. This kind of attitude towards customers is not ok. Maybe because puerto vallarta is a tourist destination they can get away with it because their customers are here today and gone tomorrow, but I’m in the area for a while and I’m never going back.
The food wasn’t worth giving them a second...
Read moreIt's a beautiful space right in the Marina. I've been wanting to dine here for a while now, and after today I can see why I waited. The restaurant was almost empty when I entered, however they didn't come to take my order for a very long time. It was so long I became very uncomfortable for me because they were waiting on the other tables around me that entered after me. I ordered a California roll and it was not tasty at all. They didn't provide ginger and wasabi for the table. I had to request it. I also ordered the Ramen. It was advertised as being made with chuka soba noodles, however they used a flat noodle. This factor matters to me because it changes the taste in my opinion. I would have liked the option. The Ramen was also so salty I couldn't eat it and I like very favorable food. The next thing that happened is I ordered a Ikuru (Salmon Roe) Temaky and they brought a Samurai Premium Roll. I asked what it was and the server got kinda snappy because he messed the order up. I ended up paying and still left a very nice tip, however I wouldn't return to this...
Read morePerhaps when you think about Japanese Food in Puerto Vallarta your natural halo bias will take you to expect not that much. Especially from a little place located in the Marina Vallarta neighborhood. Gladly, that wont be the case when visiting SamuraiSushi Sushi & Bar. When my husband and I visited the place for the first time, we unexpectedly found a real jewel that has become an obligated stop at least once a month. Honestly, you will be charmed from the start as the place is nice and looks amazing, but that will be just the start of your gourmet experience. The menu is vast, from soups to sophisticated cocktails and all the sushi rolls we have tried so far have been exquisite. When you go, try the one with shrimps and wrapped on fried banana. It is delicious. And well, do not forget to save some room for dessert! You will be amazingly surprised. They are ready to welcome you with all social distancing and hygienic measures to make...
