700 peso steak was literally raw on one end and cooked totally grey on the other. My husband's parillada was missing two of the dishes listed on the menu. No vegetables on his plate at all, even tho the menu specified grilled veggies. No restaurant decor at all, uncomfortable chairs and their dogs harass you all the time you are eating. At two in the afternoon, we were the only customers (wonder why?) and it still took 15 minutes to get the 2 mojitos we ordered. After that, we stuck to beers -- which at least were chilled -- but no glasses offered. And we had to beg for tortillas! Asked for them twice -- they finally brought us a basket with 3 mimsy tortillas. We finally just packed up the leftover meats to go and drove east to the brewpub, Corazon de Malta, where we had much better food, service, beers and a nicer atmosphere at 1/3 the price of that Steak Brothers' meal. RESPONSE to the owners response: I am sorry that you care so little for your customers. Yes, the vacio steak is listed at 610 pesos on the menu -- and with a tip, that cost me 700 pesos. Yes, the vacio came with a nice but small salad on the plate - but I clearly stated that it was my husband's parillada that had not a speck of vegetable matter with it (and it was also missing the fried volcan that was listed on the menu as part of this meal). If they told you that our cocktails were delivered in 7 minutes, they lied -- we ordered the mojitos several minutes before we ordered our entrees, and they were delivered WITH the cooked entrees. Yes, I praised the meat when it was first served -- you buy nice meat! but too bad it was so poorly cooked. For sure, we were never going to return to this restaurant --- but now that I have seen this response from the owner, we will never waste our money at any of the Steak Brothers chain...
Read moreI’ve only been here twice now. The burgers are really great and by far the best that I have had lakeside as far as size, taste and quality. I thought that the ribeye burger was really amazing and the picana burger was good, but I wouldn't get it again over the ribeye. The seasoning that they put on the fries is absolutely horrible. Literally the worst fries that I have had anywhere lakeside. The second time that I went I asked for fries with no seasoning and they were a lot better but just OK at best. Nothing special at all and actually pretty disappointing. They really should figure out how to serve better quality and tasting fries. The front of the dining area is wide open to the street so it feels like you are outside, which wouldn’t be bad if it wasn’t right on the road. There were lots of flies both times that I was there which didn't bother me but, if it would bother you then you may want to go to an indoor place instead. The service was friendly, but both times that I was there they never checked on us even once after the food was delivered until they saw the empty plates. No second drinks were offered even though we had empty glasses. Another disappointing thing was that they have an agua of the day but no other aguas to choose from. Lastly, and it may sound like a strange complaint, but the napkins are the typical super thin and cheap napkins that you would expect at most places in Mexico, but for a pricey steak house I would expect something just a little better quality like something that doesn't fall apart when you barely touch them like the ones that Costco sells or equivalent for example. Both times the food came out very quickly. There is very...

Fails to live up to all the hype.
While my own meal was actually prepared quite well, literally every other member of my party's food was an arson scene rather than a dish.
When challenged about it, our server shrugged and muttered the perfunctory "Sorry," without any effort to address the problem.
And quite frankly, the entire meal was overpriced, even if it had been prepared properly.
Further, Steak Brothers is literally set right next to a busy road, with lots of large trucks and busses going past by the minute. And the constant odor of diesel exhaust fumes fails to add anything positive to the already noisy atmosphere.
All in all, I'd say that this restaurant is just cruising on its captive audience from the nearby Racquet Club.
I won't be...
