Great botanas in terms of variety, quality; best I have had on Meida. Excellent, friendly, attentive service. Bar is like a pub, with pub style barback which is made from mahogany. Several seating areas, including an outdoor patio. Live music, dancing daily in inner and puter patio. Crowded for an early Monday afternoon. A local hangout with occasional tourists. Good selection of domestic Mexicam beers, full bar of distilled liquor, with some mixed drinks, and shots. No wine Like many cantinas now, no cagumas. Families with children often come here, but not recommended for infants. LGT friendly. La Ruina is one of the great historic cantinas in Merida. Cheers!. I advise to ignore negative reviews! We were clearly tourists, and were treated very well here. The drinks were icy and the food was flavorful with lively music and friendly locals...
