Found this little Mercado and had to stop because the food smelled delicious. I have specifically been trying to find a place to have a tamal since I have never tried one. Finally I found La Poderosa, a stall on the North side of the Mercado near the street. Had a wonderful Tamal con Pollo! Very pleasant staff and my tamal was less than 30 pesos! Food at all of the stalls looked delicious!

Cute & small market! Lots of fresh fruit and veggies. Local food vendors making delicious meals! You have to eat at Lupitas — hands down the best inside. The photos don’t do it justice

The food vendors are great and helpfull as well as the fresh tortillas. However maybe because I am treated as a tourist the produce is overpriced. I purchased 2 times to be sure but the price was double what the supermarket charges 1 min walk away. Though I am in favor of small vendors I will not shop there again as they do not...

The buildings house restraints and the food market. The restraints all have good food at very reasonable prices. The food and flower market has several venders that are very open to helping all customers even us despite our limited Spanish. Check the schedules in Yucatan Today for the lilive band and dance...
