The good: music (jazz night) was great, bar has a nice atmosphere and decor, feels quite relaxed - dive bar atmosphere but with a good mix of people, tourists and locals. Food (pizza and wings) was pretty good, although it took a very long time to arrive despite being simple. Good promotions (check their Facebook page). The bad: drinks were very watered down, you may prefer to stick to beer. Table, floors and menu were sticky. The ugly: we had to wait for ages for our change on the bill and ask different waiters several times for it to be given back. It felt like the waiter wanted us to give up, leave and just leave all the change. And then when change was finally returned, the waiter unilaterally decided to keep 10% as a tip. We would probably have left more if he hadn't done this. It left a very bad taste after a...

Terribile place! You blocked me on Facebook after coment I left so I will left it here. This was good place, we went many times, we sent many europeans here but never more. Barmans treated as terribile yesterday. We ordered 4 caguamas, 2 micheladas mango, ojo rojo and camarón diabla tacos. We recived one round of botana even without totopos so we should eat sikil pak with fingers… when mexican tables were reciving botanas with every beer. Just because your barmans thought we are stupid tourists and you can save on us. We will never ever send you more our clients, we have travel agency. What a shame! We asked finally for lemon and salt… never came! Barmans were more intrested in tv than serving people. There are many much more better places like LA NEGRITA or others. Guys of you are not mexicans...

Terrible drinks and worse food. The Margarita tasted like it came from a mix, and somehow tasted like artificial. Also got a flight of 3 mezcals, a joven that tasted like it was watered down 50/50 with dirty puddle water, and two “infused” mezcals that tested like the joven mixed with emergen-c. The burger was frighteningly bizarre. The meat was white. Like white white. We even asked what kind of meat it was because it looked more like turkey or pork than beef. I think those two options would be the best case scenario for what was in this burger. The pizza with poc chuc and guac was flirting with edibility but just a bizarre and honestly not appealing combination. The worst place I went to in Yucatan by...

We’re staying about a block away for a few weeks and this will be our go-to spot. The Food is incredible The Vibe is incredible The Drinks are incredible Live music was sensational The owner, jesus, is a gem. He has passion and talent. And is also so welcoming and sweet. We had the Camarones a la Diabla tacos. I’ve never had anything that delicious. So much flavour! Definitely the best tacos I’ve had in Merida so far (but also my life????) Can’t wait to go back. Apparently there’s live music every night and on Saturdays tribute bands perform of some pretty big Mexican and international artists - Selena, Bon Jovi, Alejandra Guzman, Luis Miguel, etc.

Place is well decorated: Funny pictures, clever use of recycled stuff, old fashioned furniture. During our visit they had an issue with water coming out from bathroom but it was attended in no time. We came for a short live concert with covers from famous bands, it was fun to sing along with the band, but audio wasn´t the best (too loudly, not equalized). Food was good although it's not their best option since it's not a restaurante but a bar (cantina). French fries were fresh and homemade, and the empanadas filled with queso de bola were good enough. You better come thristy, beer options are very good and they have 1 liter botles in the menu!

Welcome to Mérida’s oldest cantina. Having opened its doors over 100 years ago, this traditional style bar is packed with colorful, glitchy decor and folk stories from the locals. The staff is friendly and drinks are cheap. Food is okay, but good enough to snack while you chat it up with friends, listen to some live music or stop for a beer on the way home. They keep all the bar basics in the menu; burgers, nachos, pizza and a few Yucatecan dishes. The place is not very big, so the live bands can get in the way of having a conversation…live music most days of the week after 7pm. Drink specials on the weekends on beer and mezcal.
