Excellent place to eat or just have a coffee. Very nice atmosphere. From the outside you wouldn’t think how nice and pleasant it is inside.
The menu provided a nice variety tasty looking options. Our waitress, Erika offered some of their recommended specialties which we appreciated. We went for breakfast and we were very happy with the presentation, quality and taste. We ordered a pitcher of Chaya with pineapple and it was refreshing.
We saw a lot of non-locals arriving as well - speaks volumes of the restaurants word-of-mouth reputation.
We’re visiting Merida from Los Angeles and were told we had to try LA 70 and we’re glad we did!

Our meal included an extremely bland chicken skewer and a stone cold molcajete (the waiter carried it to the table in his hands). I was excited to try the molcajete after my experience in San Miguel de Allende where we were served a amazing selection of meat, cheese and vegetables in a bubbling stone bowl. But this was the polar opposite! Tasteless, cold and sad. Choose any of the hundreds of better options available in Merida and don't waste...
Read moreWe passed this location several times while out for a walk. This time was a deliberate destination to adventure into a very open welcoming yard with umbrellas covering well spaced tables. From the door, masks were on everyone, hand sanitizer and temperature were confirmed and satisfactory.
Service was prompt and pleasant accompanied with smiles.
Coffees were very good. Food was excellent. Price was well accepted from a tourist point of view. Staff were wonderful.
We plan to return with our friends for breakfast next week.
