We came for breakfast at 11.45 and the host told us that they don't do breakfast anymore even though it says on the menu it's until 12.00. All the guests in the restaurant were eating breakfast and still being served the dishes as we sat. We have been ignored by the staff for another 10 minutes before someone came to take our order. When the waitress (Ivett Tapia) came she told us the breakfast is until 11, when I told her the menu says until 12, she said until 11.30 and after that I actually showed her the menu that says the breakfast is until 12 she asked me what I want. After explaining we don't know what we want as we don't see the menu, she asked if we want eggs or omelette.. I chose a menu for starter :) some man named Diego Piña brought one menu card for me and my fiance and told me that we have 5 minutes to order and kept standing at the table looking at us. I've explained that we were here for 10 minutes before we got the menu but he still kept standing here and sighing as we were choosing the food until someone finally called him. To sum up, food was delicious but I definitely would not recommend this restaurant if you expect any sort of decent service. After finishing our food we waited another 20 minutes to pay, the staff kept walking around the restaurant, chatting, drinking coffee at the bar and laughing. They could see us seeking eye contact and smiling at them but kept ignoring us. The waiter came to take a payment and asked if we want to leave a tip. After I said no, he didn't say a single word and didn't even reply to my 'thank you'. That is the worst service I have...
Read moreThe place looks nice on the outside but the service ain't that good. The servers are careless about the customers and seem to be in a rush all the time, making customers feel uncomfortable.
The food was very average, simple dishes like scrambled eggs had no flavor and spicy things were extremely spicy. I would recommend the servers to explain more about the dishes if only they could care more about what they are doing.
There was an inconvenience with the card reader at the restaurant, it was due to poor connection and they could only use their American express card reader, however, they made rude comments to me about the card being the problem, even tho the same problem happened to another customer with a different card. We didn't have any cash, so we asked the server and the manager to let us transfer the money or indicate where we could take out some money from the ATM but they refused to help, making it seem as if we didn't want to pay when their machine was not working. I googled the nearest ATM since they couldn't even help with that information, when I was leaving the restaurant after my +1 was waiting at the bar, the manager approached me and said she was sorry for the problem but still didn't offer any help.
Overall I would not recommend to eat here, there are more beautiful places to go with better...
Read moreGreat food, great atmosphere, but average service. This was our last night in Mexico and we wanted to eat at a proper restaurant. This place has a cozy ambience as it's well lit and decorated. The food was delicious, I can definitely recommend the lamb barbacoa! The cocktails and especially the mezcal mule is very much recommended!
Sadly the service was a bit unprofessional, first of all we were overcharged on the water as the price was higher on the bill than on the menu, then the manager started a discussion with me, as I showed that on the paper menu the price was lower, he wanted to correct me by showing the price was higher on the online menu, thats honestly very rude as its a mistake in their paper menu, and we use the paper menu so why be a 'know it all' towards your guests.
Secondly when the waiter took my credit card, instead of letting me decide she decided to accept the awful conversion rate offered by the local bank instead of declining it and letting my own bank do the conversion. This added an unnecessary 7-8% to our bill.
Overall we are satisfied with our last dinner and the staff was definitely friendly but just...
