Fairly small cafe with a bit of upstairs seating but mostly just a few outdoor tables. Barista is very comfortable in English and helping out with any coffee related questions you may have. Ordered a pourover and sat outside on a fairly quiet street. Barista comes by with a glass carafe of the coffee, a small coffee cup and saucer, as well as the actual bag of beans that the coffee was made from. Honestly, this would be great if it was more commonplace although I feel like it’s only practical here because it wasn’t too busy and it’s a small space. Since it was obvious that I was much more comfortable in English, he took the liberty of translating all of the portions of the coffee bag for me and provided a bit more context that wasn’t present on the bag itself.
I was definitely influenced by the tasting notes presented on the coffee bag itself but the coffee had tons of clarity and gave me mostly red apple and tropical fruit. Brew was almost tea-like so if super clear, clean coffee isn’t your thing, this pourover may not be it for you. Cafe is suited for you to have your coffee and chill for a bit but isn’t really great for lounging/working in all day, especially without a bathroom. However, the great coffee and extraordinarily helpful barista make this an easy recommendation. As a side bonus, they have an adorable dog that lives in the cafe that is as relaxed and sweet as the...
Read moreWant the best coffee in MXC, here you go. First trip to MXC and caught a spin class at Siclo next door to Drip. Excited to come out of Spin and notice Drip was so close. Walked in and knew by the cyclist having a pre-ride Cap, I was in the right place. I'd read and now experienced Drip with a great Oat Milk Cap and yes an espresso to taste the brew by itself. This is Single Source at the highest level. Well rounded pull, does have citrus notes / acidic but in the Cap, mellowed and was perfect. Simple selection of Mexican Pastries (Concha was yummy) with some...
Read moreA small yet friendly café serving up delicate, sophisticated beverages. Upon entering, I was warmly welcomed and decided to order a chai latte with oat milk. The inside of the café didn’t offer much seating on the ground level, so I opted to sit in the outdoor area. The chai was delicate, and the oat milk (Oatly) added a nice balance to the flavor—I thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was excellent, with both baristas being very friendly and making me feel welcome. At $55 for the chai latte and an additional $20 for the Oatly, the pricing was appropriate and...
