My stay at Casona Roma Norte was chaotic and deeply disappointing. Despite arriving on time, we were placed in the wrong room and had to wait over an hour to be moved to an “upgraded” room with no mirror, no desk, and a concrete-walled balcony under a roof that doubled as a disco from 6 pm to midnight. The worst part? Every morning at 6 am, staff scraped metal furniture across concrete for 90 minutes, repeating the ordeal from 3 to 4:30 pm.||||Communication was abysmal. Brenda arranged an excursion but then insisted we pay the concierge in full due to some bizarre claim the money was spent on a tamale. She initially said we only needed to pay half, but the concierge charged me double, and I am still waiting for a refund from Visa.||||The noise from the music was deafening, and Brenda’s only suggestion was to wear earplugs. Scheduled massages were a disaster—Brenda said the masseuse would come to my room but never showed up, and the manager offered no explanation. Worse, my daughter ended up with a shoulder injury from her massage.||||Room service was inedible (even a bowl of rice!), and the process was bizarre—charges couldn’t be billed to the room; instead, a staff member arrived with a card machine and expected a tip. Poorly designed light fixtures left broken glass in the hallways two days in a row.||||The room’s amenities were incredibly low-quality: substandard toiletries, linens, and towels. Closets were nearly unusable with fixed hangers that required a step stool.||||Being ill during the last 24 hours of our stay only made the experience worse. Management clearly doesn’t care about guest satisfaction.||||Avoid Casona Roma Norte if you value peace, quality service, or basic hospitality. This was the most unpleasant hotel experience...
Read moreI booked Casona Roma for recent CDMX holiday. The hotel is located in Roma Norte, my favorite neighborhood in Mexico City and had excellent reviews.|Casona Roma is a beautiful hotel with incredible staff and great hospitality.||The hotel recently added a rooftop bar with a DJ(unknown to me at the time of my reservation for two rooms). The music is LOUD and there is no room in the hotel that is spared from the thumping bass until 1:30am or 3am on Saturday night.|Casona Roma’s solution is to provide earplugs for rooms that were over $400 USD each. ||A hotel’s first priority should be its guests.|This was not the case at Casona Roma.|While the hotel staff were sympathetic,|they were unable to do anything about the music and how long the bar was open or length of DJ’s set.||The dance music until early morning was so bad that after two sleepless nights, we checked out and moved to another hotel|in Roma Norte, despite having pre-paid all three nights for both rooms at Casona Roma.||Casona Roma is a lovely hotel but |unless the rooftop bar and music are |addressed, their excellent reputation will be lost.||To anyone considering booking this hotel, I would urge you to look at recent reviews as the rooftop bar opened...
Read moreWe had a really great experience at Casona Roma Norte. We arrived early and were able to check in by a very friendly host in their lobby area. They offered us a jamaica drink which was excellent. The lobby was super cute with a restaurant right at the end of it. The room was really well designed and beautiful. It had tall ceilings with a modern parisian feeling and seriously the comfiest bed and pillows I've slept in! Now that I'm home, I actually feel like my bed is uncomfortable so may need to research their beds! My favorite part of the stay was actually housekeeping. They did such a great job of making sure our room was clean and leaving us nice treats before bedtime. Everytime we left the room it felt like our room was made up and the bed was immaculate when we'd return. I really love that level of detail. The other nice things about the hotel was a great coffee shop onsite and 3 restaurants within the building. Salino on the rooftop was a really great vibe and great, fresh, greek/asian inspired food. Also A+ location. This was walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go and Contramar is just a block away. If we return to CDMX, I'd definitely...
