If you are Vegan and visiting Mexico City, this place is a must! Everything here is Vegan. Food is delicious and reflects amazingly the typical dishes of the Mexican Cuisine. Monday through Friday they offer what is called "The Menu" (open from 1 pm to 6 pm), where you get 2 entries and a main dish, accompanied by a glass of 'agua fresca', salsa and a small dessert. All this for around $99 Mexican pesos ($4.50 US dollars in April 2021). If you go after 6 pm Monday through Friday; on Saturday; on Sunday or basically anytime Gold Taco is open, you can order, "A la Carta", that in other words is the regular menu. My favorite dishes are Pozole (with a special offer every Thursday where you can order 2 for the price of 1); flautas with rice and enmoladas with your choice of 'meat' (remember, everything here is Vegan. Cream, cheese and desserts. All is Vegan!). There is a downside though. They changed the kind of oil used to fry some dishes and at least for me, is to much grease for my body to digest. My wife didn't have any problem eating the same dish but I felt terrible. I only ask for pozole, tacos (or anything from the grill) or a torta. Restroom is clean and you can wash your hands without entering the toilet. Staff is kind and food is served within a reasonable time and at the right temperature. Street parking is kind of hard to get but not impossible. Nevertheless, if you are using public transportation, access is simple, easy and cheap (if you are not using Uber or a Taxi Cab). Check their hours during this pandemic time since they close around 9 pm (don't get there at 7:50 pm or 7:45 pm since they could be already closed) and at 10 pm on...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at this place, they were out of everything except for tacos and burgers, the server was annoying and kept talking to us and complaining about other costumers he had that day, he made us feel very uncomfortable, the place was dirty, the server brought a bottle of water with dirt on the lid, the food was actually good but we didn't enjoy it because all we wanted to do is leave, I hope this was only me but I wouldn't recommend this place, we went there because we've tried the one in Roma and we had a wonderful experience there.... I give it 2 stars because the food was good but disgusting place, I don't like eating at dirty places. God knows what happens in...
Read moreNice place and friendly stuff, just needed to use google translator to figure out the menu. Besides regilar menu they also serve huge lunch for 110 pesos, consisting of salad, soup, main course and drink. Since it was so big, I couldn't finish it so they boxed the rest for me to take away. On the downside, they claim to be open since 10 but when we came there around 10.30, the door was open but there was just one person, not cooking anything yet and (IF we understood correctly) she told us to...
