Italianni's — Restaurant in Mexico City

Easily the worst dining experience in Puerto Vallarta we have ever had. We ordered the deep friend calamari and it came cold.... I am talking about likely had been cooked 30 to 40 minutes prior because it was stone cold. The pizza was supposed to have prosciutto on it but they ran out some instead came with thick squares of raw ham. Horrible. They advertise bear 2 for 1 but a beer cost 60 pesos. It's not two for 1 if you charge double the normal price. Service was really poor but likely hampered by the fact that no one spoke any English. I guess the Las Isla mall must be charging high rents because it was ridiculously expensive. IF you are looking for Italian try Terezza Di Roma or Porto Bello in the Marina. Both are high end and give much better quality food for about the same price then this gentrified establishment. It appears two other restaurants in Las Isla have already closed... I am sure this one will not be far behind unless something changes. Oh yes and the only other couple in the restaurant also sent...

We were brought to our table. Order taken and then the wait.....and wait.

They had 3 tables with costumers, rest was empty. Manager and staff seemed to be having a lovely conversation. Too bad we had to wait.

We ordered 2 white wines . They came already decanted. And both were terrible. Mexican Blanco from La Mision. And and Italian Orvieto Clasico. I enquired over a Lambrusco which they said they would open a fresh bottle. Also came already decanted in a mini garaf. It was Flat.

The food is Ordinary Italian. Basic. Heavy on the cream. Basic flavors.

Overall quality was not much better than a food court at a Mall, which this is.

Bill came to almost 1,000 00 pesos for 2 people.

For real Italian food in the PV are I recommend...

I enjoy going to this place the food is always good and consistent. The only reason why I am giving them 4 stars is due to their service. My expectations for service are low ever since I moved to Mexico and don’t expect much but I do expect you come by my table more than one to drop of food. The service is slow but the food is fast to come out. I would recommend I do go there at least twice a month everything I’ve tried has been good and I am a very picky eater. Only Italian restaurant I go to in PV just wish their service...
