Antes que nada hay que aclarar que este lugar es surrealista, es toda una aventura qué pasa desde un camino difícil (muy difícil derivado de su localización, el verdadero barrio mexicano “La Guerrero”), pasando por un local antiguo y con poco mantenimiento y que si hay necesidad de pasar al baño mejor no te lo recomiendo, ya que si vas por tener una experiencia de servicio pues o decepción, aunado a que en sus alrededores hay de todo (teporochos, suciedad, cosas broncas). Sin embargo, si lo que buscas es un buen lugar de comida eso si lo vas a encontrar con todo el verdadero sabor CDMX, no estamos en Jalisco que ahí sería un sacrilegio su sabor, esto es 100% chilangomex, tiene un sabor EXQUISITO, sus quesabirrias son lo máximo, sus ajos en conserva deliciosos, su birria toda una experiencia culinaria, su pozole no se diga de los mejores, sus chelas a punto de hielo, etc., hum….. SUPER-RICO. Independíentemente de cualquier inconveniente externo a lo importante que es su sabor, estos manjares que se sirven en Don Chuy, son un manjar para el paladar chilango. En términos generales por el lugar no das ni 1 centavo (todo aquel amigo al que he llevado a comer ahí, llega apanicado por el lugar y lo qué hay a sus alrededores, porque es todo un tour donde hay peligro, suspenso y acción, 😄😄😄), pero cuando les sirven y dan el primer bocado se olvidan de todo lo suscitado para llegar al lugar y se van agradeciendo la experiencia por el sabor único e inigualable de esta experiencia. I've had birria in Michoacan, Jalisco, Zacatecas, Baja California, Los Angeles to name a few. I've had the "special recipe" of countless moms, grandmothers, tias, madrinas etc etc, but this birria--this birria that is served literally on the sidewalk--is on my top 3 list. And Mexico City is not known for being a birria town.
