An excellent place to eat and with good enviroment : The first impression was very nice, when you enter you listen to Rock music at an adequate volume. The service was attentive and friendly. There are a lot of variety of pizzas to choose, each one is peculiar and you can't find it in other places easly, you also find snacks, beer and food. The pizza awesome!!! Is huge and delicious. The waiting time was approximately 45-60 mins, so you have to be patient. The prices are a little high but it's worth it. If you go with friends it's better, because you can talk when you wait for pizza and it's cheaper. The restaurant is in an accessible location, near to the subway station Zapata and "Plaza Universidad". In summary, I recommend the place to go out with friends in the afternoon or evening, I assure you that you will have a good time and you will be satisfied, even better if you like places with good rock...
Read moreWhy 3 stars??? I will not come back. Pizzas el perro negro has a good reputation, food is really tasty, there is not doubt about that. Service was great (Dennis) I came with my family to enjoy the experience. From outside looks great, as soon as we walked inside the hostess were nice and kind. We got a table close to the speakers, unfortunately they have a "Loud Hard Core Metal" music playing. I was checking the menu for 3 min and couldn't resist the music, we couldn't even hear the server well. I asked her to turn down the music just a little so we can have a conversation with my family. After 4 more songs finally manager changes the music, but not the volume. It's not really a problem about the music type, bottom line - music should not be that loud. The day we visited day was September 17 around 4pm. (Bathrooms are super clean) So you can talk with your...
Read more"Unconventional gourmet pizza" doesn't even begin to describe what you can find in their menu. Most of their dishes are comfort food, but done right and plentiful... and I mean Plentiful, as in you can easily share with a friend or your sweetheart, and sometimes both especially if you order your pizza with the cheese crust. Talk about a frommage-a-trois!
Their hose beers are nice if not exceptional, but above the usual "craft" beers available from most other Mexican microbreweries.
Finally, the music is usually loud and more suited to the tastes of those who like nu metal, grind core, classic punk and some darkwave; thus it attracts a younger, more energetic crowd. Still, anyone who loves unusual pizza toppings and can function in noisy environments will have run for their hard-earned money.
Truly and heartily...
