Tenabari Pizza — Restaurant in Mexico City

This place is great, but It’s not for everyone. This is a hang out, drink tequila and watch the sidewalk go by.

I was skeptical about the pizza at first. It’s square. It took a while to appear. My Spanish is not great and I wasn’t sure how the food I ordered related to the menu.

That said, the price was lower than I expected, the pizza crust was crispy, and the atmosphere was bohemian and super chill.

This was an understated relaxed place to snack and drink and hang out.

If you’re the right person for this place, this is the place for you.

Went to Tenabari while staying in Condesa. I was craving pizza but not many places were open late on a Monday night. I saw they had good reviews so walked over.

All I can say is wow, what a nice surprise. It’s a little space, blink and you’ll miss it—but the pizza, the service and the price were all spot on.

The owner, Fabrisio, personally served me. He’s a poet and a musician who also makes a mean pie. Very friendly and accommodating.

I haven’t had a pizza this bad in a long time. I ordered a slice of plain cheese pizza and the Al pastor. Honestly, frozen pizza from the supermarket taste better. The pizza took a while to make and my young son who loves pizza wouldn’t eat it. I’m really disappointed because the service was good but the pizza tasted under cooked - the pizza crust was soft in the middle and the cheese was clumpy- see photo attached.
