El Huequito will always share a special place in my heart because it was the first place I ever tried tacos al pastor. So... I'm biased. But I've had several since and I still think this ranks as one of the best. The first few times we came here we stuck with the "normal" sized tacos. They are delicious. The flavors are out of this world and the cuts of meat are very clearly high quality. On our second visit to Mexico City we went for their famous big one (Pasor Especial) and it really is a dream. The Soupa Azteca is also incredibly flavourful, if you try anything other than the al pastor the soup is another one to recommend. I also appreciate their tray of salsas - all of which are delicious and vary in spiciness! And let's not forget the horchata! It's a really nice drink to cool down the spicy salsas. El Huequito will always be a place I visit whenever I'm in Mexico City. The people working here are always very friendly, kind, and patient with my terrible Spanish.

In A Nutshell: -El Huequito (The Little Hole) is a chain of excellent Mexican restaurants in CDMX. -This location bordering La Condesa is located in the middle of an intersection that reminds you of many big cities around the world. -I enjoyed the best tacos al pastor (151 pesos)! -You get a towering mound of sliced pork shoulder along w/ several tortillas. -You also get a variety of salsas to try out, they are each very tasty. -I also ordered the prime rib taco (55 pesos), which is a thinly sliced prime rib w/ bone served with a big tortilla. -Everything tasted so, so good, you can't ask for anything better! Overall, the service is fast & efficient. Just sit down & the servers will give you a QR code menu to order from, then your food will be brought to you.

I love tacos al pastor, therefore I love El Huequito. A lot of places in Mexico City claim to be tbe originator of tacos al pastor, but I really think that el Huequito has the most legitimate claim. I come here for the tacos, also the sopa Azteca is very good, love the horchata too. There are several el Huequitos in CDMX, the location for this one is quite different, basically underneath a freeway overpass, but once inside, you won't even notice. Yes, you can find cheaper tacos in CDMX, but come on, this is the place!

I read a review exhaltiing the el pastor tacos so I decided to jump in an Uber to go eat even if I wasn't hungry. It was my last night in Mexico City so I decided to give this location in LA Condesa a shot. The el pastor tacos were super salty like cecina so I didn't enjoy them too much. Maybe it was just a bad batch. The chicharron tacos were slightly better. I was a bit disappointed. I had some really good el pastor tacos the other night in a hole in the wall that blew these out of the water. Anyway, I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was a bad batch. This location was on a noisy and busy thoroughfare and it sits in the medium in the road. The staff was very nice...
