Condesa Suites Hotel — Hotel in Mexico City

I absolutely loved this place and plan to return when I can afford another trip!

I have absolutely no complaints, whatsoever. The check-in process was easy. The workers were all very friendly and helpful. The building itself (decor/carpeting/energy/etc.) was very comfortable and cozy. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with multiple seating options (sofa and chairs). The fridge worked great. The bed was FIRM and supportive, unlike practically every hotel around, even the fancy ones. The fixtures were modern, aesthetically pleasing, functional, and easy to use. The shower was spacious enough. The windows were large and opened plenty enough to get a cross-breeze.

The neighborhood was lovely and walkable. I felt safe walking back from 20 minutes away in the middle of the night (though I am male so that might skew my experience slightly). There was also 24 hour attendance at the front door in case you need to return late like I did.

The only thing that some people might not like is the lack of A/C. I knew this when I booked the reservation, and personally had no problem with it. Though I know some people's body temperatures make it more of an issue than for me. On this note, there was no fan in the room, so I suggest bringing a folder or hand-fan to fan yourself if you need that type of thing. But still, don't let this be a deal breaker! The perfection of everything else more than made up for this.

The room was great for the price and the location is excellent.

The service was not goof however. My first experience with the front desk was great. Warm and friendly. My second was not.

I called downstairs in the morning to ask for a late checkout. I am learning Spanish so I did my best but the front desk seemed angry with me. He said 1pm and hung up. At 12pm he called again saying I needed to leave. I think he forgot he said 1pm. He hung up angry. At 1220pm the phone rang again and when I picked up nobody there. When I when downstairs at 1245pm he seemed confused. I had my bike with me. He watched me struggle as I lifted it down 4 stairs and pushed the large steel door open myself and struggle as I got it back on to the street. Whoever this man was soured my trip and will result in me not coming back which is unfortunate because the rooms were very clean and the hotel generally was good...

No name on building was tricky and once inside it took some doing to get my room since the front desk person could only be reach by WhatsApp. |Once I had a key, the door would open, but it would not lock from the inside. It took about an hour and a maintenance person to come and give me a regular key in order for me to lock my door. |I was supposed to have free breakfast, but there was no one downstairs in the morning to provide that free breakfast. |The room itself is very nice.
