GREAT TO SAY THE LEAST! Tucked away in the corner in the historical district in Morelia in La Buca, an upscale Italian restaurant in a city not known for Italian food. Out of many of the Italian restaurants that I reviewed, I never thought that a small cocooned space in the middle of Mexico would be one of the best. I had the pleasure of trying every one of calzones and a margarita pizza with my party. The food was indeed exceptional and the ambiance was fantastic. Loved the vibe, mostly young people, indoor and outdoor sitting, right amount of lighting, and music was nice, perfect volume. I had great service from my waitress and food was ready in about 10 minutes from ordering. I had a salad, empanadas argentinas and a fruity cocktail. Prices were reasonable. Read moreWe absolutely love this place the food and the drinks were delicious! The ambience of the place was also very calming and warm. Kids can eat here which means happy parent(s).
Our only issue was with our service. This might be an issue with the pandemic (lack of service staff) but there were not enough, there were more bussers than wait staff. We had about a 20-minute wait between our appetizers and ordering our main dinner.
It was a really long dinner.
