BEWARE. Even though you ask and sign the bill/check in PESOs they sneakily take it off your card in USD at a lousy exchange rate. MAKE SURE you ask for Pesos and sign for Pesos. I also got 2 charges for the same bill taken off my credit card. Classic dodgy place - avoid.

5/28 update - Dave - ALL other restaurants in town charged in Pesos and i got charged in Pesos. ONLY your place charged in USD despite all of us in the group opting for Pesos every time. This is a common ruse internationally as your exchange rate is ~18/1 vs the 19.5 paying in Pesos. I think you know of this..... Re the double charge - the first transaction did not go thru due to an issue with your waiters hand held machine ( i even kept the 'transaction declined' receipt copy) - the second did go thru (in USD again!) . Yet i got 2 charges? Hardly the fault of the credit card company.... Pls refund the 2nd charge ASAP. 5/31 update Visa are reaching out to you to discuss...

Go at your own risk! You may never leave after you stop here. Was consistently one of our "go to" spots with sports and incredible drinks and the kindest staff, it's hard to want to leave and explore. The waitress in the morning is the coolest person to hang out with. Kept our drinks full and put up with our dire attempts at improving our Spanish. In addition they have an ATM in the back for pesos and after reading about scammers and stuff we were hesitant to use them on the streets. Used there's each time and was super safe. This needs to be on your list of places to go, not even a question....

We sat down inside and we were greeted after 5 min by a foreigner waitress, first thing she said was « hi » we replied in Spanish since we’re in mexico and we’re mexican, then she left after giving us thé menu and didn’t come back for another 10 min but all foreigners sitting at the bar were being served , we had to leave cause she never came back or bothered to turn to our table , please make your servers speak Spanish and teach them about working ettiquette here, it’s disrespectful and annoying for us locals . after that we ended up going to a mexican owned bar And it was a whole...
