How do you screw up a hamburger this bad?!? When it's literally "the thing" you're supposed to be good at? Ok, now that's out of the way- the service was very good and the restaurant has a cool layout/design- the only plus for this place. Arrived at Vidanta for vacation, first night. Came here and we regretted it every night and still make fun (even after vacation) how horrible the food was. Sent back one burger three times. Raw (not even rare- as I eat rare). This person eats med rare. No bacon on the second one. Third time he just gave up on trying. Messed my wife's burger up twice- put cheese on both times (diary allergy)... But yes twice in a row. Absolutely no flavor or any kind of "quality" to the meat. The buns were dry and not great. The fries were so crisp... Heck stale. They bounced on the table- I mean, they weren't really edible. You could break them in half like a stick. Oh, let's not forget at $14 (I believe) per order of "truffle"-(used loosely) fries. The only thing decent were the pre-done onion rings. All they had to do was deep fry those. Four of us just couldn't even bother to finish the food. Not even worth a fraction of what they charge here. It definitely didn't make a good start to the Vidanta...
Read moreMy dining experience at this burger restaurant was shadowed by the absence of a basic amenity: a means to combat the relentless heat. While the burgers may have had potential, the big discomfort overshadowed any culinary merits, rendering this visit a lamentable one. The absence of fans or adequate ventilation transformed this dining affair into a very bad one. I spoke with the manager and said this was the situation for a very long time which means that I was not the only one raising this issue and that steps to remedy it have not been taken. Not actioning in customers’ feedback is a recipe for failure. This is my third time going to Vidanta, and is clear that is in pure deterioration… putting a new Cirque du Soleil section will not magically resolve the lamentable la of maintenance and very bad dinning experiences throughout the resort that on top of that are...
Read moreOverall was surprised a bit how highly rated this restaurant was, as our experience did not come close to matching the reviews. I had one of the specialty 'burgers' - the Hot Dog Provencial. It was described as an Italian sausage stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. What I received was a hot dog which didn't have any cheese, so quite a bit different than the description. I also ordered onion rings, which come with three sauces. The sauces were nice, but the onion rings were basically out of a bag. (And I've probably had better frozen onion rings from the store.) Overall pretty disappointing for MXN 235 (~USD 12) order of onion rings. My wife had a cheeseburger and fries. Her meal was decent, but not exceptional.
Service was ok, but kitchen seemed to be backed up as we waited 45 minutes for our food.
Overall felt overpriced for underwhelming food...
