Restaurante Palax — Restaurant in Nuevo León

So, the food is really good, and that is the only reason this is not a one star.

Went there a week ago with my wife and my parents, they took 30 minutes to serve appetizers, and almost an hour to serve the entrees, most of them, one plate didn't make to the table until we had already finished everything else.

The waiter got angry when we complained and said that the ticket was from 20 minutes ago, Wich was of course not true.

After paying, the card used to pay got cloned and was used to purchase stuff online. I'm never setting foot in this place again, and really can't recommend at all given the service, it's a shame given that the food is...

A great place with a good broad menu — lots of options to choose from. The ‘Huevos Nuevo León’ is one of my fave dishes. Fairly quiet and peaceful (aside from the blenders!) and it’s open 24/7, 365 days of the year. You can come along on Christmas! Basic décor and not much of a view (just looks out onto a parking lot). The food was of a good standard, but during peak times, occasionally arrives a bit cold. One or two times, they’ve just microwaved the dish instead of replacing the cold parts. Ordené el platillo tampiqueña y pedí la carne bien cocida, la carne suave y muy rica, además de bien cocida. El aguacate bastante generoso, los frijoles tienen un sabor bueno, pero nada extraordinario. Las rajas están bien, pero tampoco fueron lo máximo. La salsa verde está muy rica para botanear. Hay otra, que es la molcajeteada pero sabe mucho a tomate, se parece mucho a la del Pollo Loco pero guisada (caliente). Dio la casualidad que cuando fuimos ayer como alrededor de las 8-9 pm iban pasando con una charola de conchas recién hechas, del tamaño de un plato normal (donde están los trozos de concha que nos sobraron). En lo personal me gustó mucho más la de chocolate a pesar de que casi no me gusta y prefiero siempre la de vainilla. El pan extremadamente suave, el sabor se contrastaba bastante con lo calientito, tendría si acaso como 15 mins o un poco más de haber salido del horno. Y no fueron tan caras las piezas, aunque sí a comparación de una panadería, aunque fue una muy grata sorpresa la calidad, la suavidad y el sabor, ya que nunca había comprado en el restaurante. Sin embargo la experiencia se vio opacada por el servicio recibido de la mesera, ya que demoraba mucho en darnos lo que pedíamos como más limonada refill, como servilletas, como más totopos o salsas, etc. Y eso que no estaba lleno cuando fuimos, habría quizás unas 15 mesas con gente, pero las atendían más meseros.
