Sierra Madre Brewing Co. — Restaurant in Nuevo León

Rating is saved by excellent barbecue ribs, or more like rib, singular. Something Norte. Amazingly tender and succulent, and not drowned in sauce.

The Greek salad was served with barely any seasoning, I had to ask for more.

As a craft beer fan I had to order their sampler. The presentation was great with really unique and cool looking thick bottomed tasting glasses. Unfortunately the beer was disappointingly bland and not true to style. For instance, the kolsch and pilsner were nearly indistinguishable other than the later being slightly more hoppy. I'm guessing they use the same neutral yeast strain and low mash temperature resulting in dissatisfying flavor and body.

I also want to note that their red ale was pretty obviously off. It was sharp and sour, almost certainly infected with lactobacillus. It's pretty harmless in terms of health/safety, but I'm disappointed that they didn't recognize the issue or insisted...

An american sports bar type in the heart of the city. Food-wise this place ranks as a decent to good, nothing too memorable, but for travelers visiting our city from abroad it feels pretty close to home; you know what to expect, american food from appetizers to desserts, nothing in this place will challenge your taste. Drink-wise, the place is amazing. They are proud to produce their own beer which varies in a wide palette of flavors, so, this is a good place just to hop in and chug a pint of lager beer. Service is quite good, most of the young people are helpful and ready to fill your glass again; the place is comfy as they have powerful ac to keep you cool in the inclement weather. Probably another downside is parking space, being in downtown where all spaces are compromised, is hard to deduct a star for that, you'll have to manage to find an open or shell out cash just for that...

Customer service was awful. Server didn't come to our table until we flagged him down. He would walk by with an unhappy look on his face. Actually, all staff looked the same way, unhappy. I saw other customers having to flag their server for service. The place wasn't busy, so I could not understand why service was slow. I tried two drinks and they just didn't taste like they had any alcohol in them. I only had two drinks because the server would not come to our table other wise I probably would have had a couple more. The second drink I ordered sat at the bar for a good 5-8 minutes. U could see it ob the bar from my table. I almost stood up to go get it. The bartender and another staff were sitting behind the bar snacking on something and talking while the drink was sitting on the bar for some time. Food was good, place was clean.
