The view is great at sunset. The music is very good, upbeat, mostly regatón. That is why I gave 2 stars.
The food and drinks were awful. Probably the worst I've had in Mexico in years. The sangria was not good. That is fairly normal in Mexico. But this one was particularly bad. Tasted more like fruit punch with about a dozen tiny minced apple pieces.
The pizza was inedible. Over the years, pizza has become pretty decent in Mexico. This place has a brick oven, so i expected it would be good. Wrong. The crust is very thin, but worse is the texture. It was like a cracker. The closest thing i can compare it to is St Louis style pizza (if you like Imo's, maybe you could like this). The second half of the pizza wasn't even cooked thoroughly, so it was like a soggy cracker. The sauce had no flavor. The toppings were buffalo chicken and had very little flavor as well. i poured hot sauce on it, so that it had some flavor.
Do yourself a favor. If you want to eat pizza here, buy a few saltines and pour some hot sauce on it. you'll get the same flavor and Dave yourself a few...
Read moreLas majores enchiladas de mi vida! We went to the middle floor, where they served Mexican food and had the best enchiladas of my life. The food is reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is excellent. I'm sure it would have been lively had we gone on the weekend. When we went, it was quiet and we had the space mostly to ourselves. The platillos are huge (see my photo of the enchiladas). The margarita was awesome , though it tasted like it had 0 drops of alcohol, which was fine for me. It still tasted wonderful.
The wait staff was excellent, polite, and knowledgeable on their food. The restrooms were clean. They only have 2 bathrooms, single use. One for women and one for men. I imagine this can create quite a wait.
My friend had to go to the bathroom an hour or so after we had left but were still in the area, and they let her come back and use it there. Great service. Will definitely go back when I'm...
Read moreCame here because it was recommended by a local. They have an English menu if you ask for it. No one spoke English so I had to speak with the little Spanish I know.
Service overall was good. The waiter checked on me multiple times.
FOOD AND DRINK: Agua de jamaica (4/5): I like that the drink wasn't too sweet. It doesn't taste authentic as I've made it with fresh hibiscus leaves before.
Al pastor and carnita taco (3/5): Very small in size. I liked the al pastor better. Better flavor than the carnita taco.
Fish ceviche with mango (5/5): Enjoyed this dish the most. It was fresh and tasty. Eaten by itself or with tostadas. It's enough for one person.
The red sauce is more spicy. The green sauce is also spicy.
If I had to return back, it would only be for...
