Konnichiwa Sushi Bar — Restaurant in Oaxaca

We went there for Christmas. To be honnest,we were very disapointed.

We ordered a bottle of wine, an starter and rolls. We received everything at the same time, wine Included. We actually got the food before we had the wine glasses.

We had so.many people attending to our table that I did not remember who was our server. One girl kept trying to take our plates away even if there was food still in it (3 times with the salad). At the end i just gave up and let her take it.

The sushi were not made with sushi Rice, no way. Each roll was so full of Rice you could barely taste any of the little fish they put.

Id stay : get the rythme of service better. Wine first, Started Then rolls.

Being a good server does not requiered you to take away plate with food. Be présent but dont be pushy.

Too much cream cheese

Canadian here who eats sushi quite often. This place uses way too much cream cheese, and all of their roles as others have said and is quite gross actually. My family of four who loves sushi could really only need about half the sushi order just yeah from google because of all the cream cheese. I have not tried any other sushi place here, so cannot speak for them but if you go to this place, then, make sure you order sushi without cream cheese in it unless you absolutely “love”cream cheese.

My kids liked the shrimp tempura (no cream cheese in it thankfully) and we liked the miso soup.

Id recommended to the owners that they revamp their menu and eliminate many of the cream cheese sushi rolls as this is not a popular food group to put in...

First, you have to understand that sushi in Mexico is never going to be what you get in the U.S., so you have to alter your expectations. That being said, it is almost impossible to get a roll without cream cheese! It's the same at the other place in Hualtulco too. Plus, the rolls have a lot of rice, and they don't have edamame.
