Sabor a Mí — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Have only been there for breakfast. The first time I had divorced eggs which were good, but the salsa was a bit more spicy than expected, so ask about if you are not good with with hot peppers. They had some pastries which were not bad, neither memorable. The second visit I had the fruit pancakes with Nutella, kiwi, strawberry and banana. They were really good, vast portion and fluffy. The coffee is above average, which means not watery, but not really strong which is good. The real asset is service. All the waiting staff is really attentive to your requests and keep bringing coffee refills and seeing everything and everyone in your party is doing alright with their food. Cost wise is not on the cheap side of breakfast combos, but would not make it to the mid-price checkbox. Just a few pesos more. There is the al fresco area, but they also have an air conditioned room inside, if that is a factor. A good breeze and shade outside are enough to not be hot. Would definitely go back for casual dinner as I also heard they have recently changed their menu, something...

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Me and my family came in to eat breakfast and were looking for a cool retreat from the hot weather. We were met by a waiter who was wiping his mucus on his hands and his shirt. We ordered for a big party and when we saw them preparing the food, their mucus was falling off their face into the fruit and the food. And they still prepared the food like that!!! We got up and told them we were leaving. They still made us pay for the food. But we were leaving before the food even came out. I asked if we could get the food to go since I already paid. I paid well over 300 dollars for the food, and They said it’s going to take a while and they’re going to call my number. It’s been 10 hours and I never recieved a call that my food was ready. NEVER COMING BACK THERE AGAIN!!!...

We ate at this place a few times, it was always empty which should have been the first clue not to eat here. Both me and my husband got the runs, I told my husband not to eat here again and he went by himself the day we were leaving to grab a hamburger and he got food poisoning. Service was slow, same as everywhere else we ate in the area, the food (minus the bacteria) was decent, prices were considerably more expensive than other places, the staff was nice enough. There are so many other places close by to pick from, eat anywhere...
