Food was ok not very memorable. When i sat down the waiter brought out a complimentary plate of Papaya with cream cheese-- O didn't eat it as I am not a fan of Pappaya. I ordered the chef speciaof the day Eggs with Chorizo and Gouda cheese. The plate came with carrots and a xicama salad which i felt was refreshing. The highlight for me was the pickled onions and yellow chiles on the table. Next to that was a red salsa that is a little spicy. They also brought out freshly made Tortillas with the eggs.
Service was fantastic however a little slow since it was the Sunday morning rush.
Atmosphere was very family oriented, with people conversating, laughing and enjoying each other's company.
Price was good as it felt less expensive than restaurants in the Center Oaxaca.
I would go back again for dinner to try the other parts...

My partner got the steak and I got the chicken. The steak was bland but the chicken had an incredible amount of flavor from the savory, sweet, and tangy sauce. It's too bad the salad has so little dressing because that was the only fiber in the meal.
For dessert they gave us free jello. The place was good but not worth making a trip for. There were a good amount of locals also dinning here. The meal came out to MX$245...
🍲 🥗🌶 🍓 🌺 🙏🏼🦋🚙❤️🇲🇽💚 Today I tried a new to me restaurant, La Casa de la Chef, in the lovely and colorful neighborhood of Jalatlaco in the center. I went for the chile en nogada, but will go back for the delightful ambiance, friendly service, healthy and delicious food, and good prices. The restaurant itself is very tastefully decorated with plants and flowers and soft colors, quality wood furniture and natural light from the large open door with a view of the pretty bougainvillea on the patio. The meal started with lentil soup and fresh bread, next was a delicious fresh garden salad, then the main course of the chile en nogada. The chile en nogada did not disappoint, it was very tasty and traditionally prepared Last, but not least, the meal was completed with a delicious serving of grape and strawberry jello. I was also given tostadas and a fresh drink made from jamaica flowers. It’s also pet friendly! #anitamariposa #chileennogada #oxaca La...
