I have been to several restaurants in Huatulco, from upscale tasting menus in Quinta Bella to unassuming taco stands, but at L'artilleria, you can taste that the food is made with love. The ingredients are so fresh and the presentation is beautiful, but it's not a pretentious place. It's quite the gem and I don't say that lightly. If you get the chance to speak to the chef, Otto, listen to his story... It's rare when the passion for something you love is as fierce as when you started. Wishing you all the best in everything you do! Just a note for patrons: there are two locations listed on Google maps. Go with the one spelled "Lartilleria" without the hyphen, as the old address is the one listed by the Urbana. Otto, if you need help removing the other listing, just reach out to me :)

Really great spot! The owner was the server, bartender, and chef, and explained to us that he was short staffed so it would take a while, which we were fine with. The food was incredible. All fresh, and made well. The tortilla’s are probably the best we had ever had. He hand grinds the blue corn himself and makes them fresh, as well cuts and fries them into chips. The salsa’s were very flavourful and a great compliment. Definitely try the Longaniza (Mexican sausage) taco’s, he makes the sausage himself. The cocktails were also very good, we crushed some Mezcalita’s. This place is a must visit in my opinion.

This is simply a fantastic place for Mexican food, drinks, and environment. A no frills, top quality, slow-food approach to a series of Mexican delights, such as carne en su jugo, arrachera tacos, and cochinita pibil. Otto is an amazing chef and down to earth leader of a cool, awesome restaurant in downtown Huatulco. He was super hospitable and offered a delicious mezcal tasting as well as a recommended taxi service for our way back. If you are here in Huatulco, you cannot miss this place. Below you will find the petrolera de New York. Loved it! We will definitely return!

I don't know what's going on in this place. We tried so hard to go here and give them our money but our taxi driver couldn't find it nor could anyone else tell us where it was. We kept driving around and around in circles trying to find this place. I'm giving them three stars because it is very difficult to figure out their address. It seems like they have moved locations and have not changed their address since the address they have online doesn't take us there at all. In all honesty, we never even got to eat here obviously, but I would highly suggest that the owners update their address and please put a menu online so we can see what you serve and the prices....
