The meal was delicious and it had a nice portion size, nice ambience as well.
I give this 1 star however, because either the waiter or the kitchen got the order wrong - we ordered Prosciutto & Funghi, and they gave us Prosciutto Crudo instead. We didn't notice as we were eating, we did notice it had olives however which is not something we ever order. The wrong pizza that they gave us was 120 pesos more than the one that we asked for.
So we asked for them to double check the order explaining that they gave us the wrong meal. The waiter went to the kitchen and then hurried back saying that the kitchen is not in the wrong and that we must pay for this pizza that they gave us. We're not one to press into things, so we simply paid the 120 peso more and walked off. We left this place feeling gross after what should've been a good meal.
When a customer claims you gave them the wrong meal, there is a very good chance that you in fact gave them the wrong meal, and most professional establishments would acknowledge this and would apologize for the inconvenience and re-write the bill for you to pay for the meal you requested. This place just isn't professional. Instead, they tell you that you're wrong and even get offended when you are to say such a thing to them as if I insulted their mother. No apology, no token, nothing. They give you a sneer as you walk out as if we were trying to take advantage of them.
So we pfeel pretty gross after that experience. Would recommend for the food, definitely would not recommend for the staff...
Read moreThe service was friendly, if somewhat lackluster. The Caprese salad was adequate but, the pasta carbonara was disgusting. Starchy undercooked fusilli swimming in a somehow greasy yet watery sauce. Not a hint of what makes pasta carbonara so fabulous, a rich unctuous sauce resplendent with the flavors of egg, black pepper and bacon. It looked and tasted like a bagged alfredo fettuccine that you add water to and boil all together. I had two bites and couldn't Force down another. There was no bread brought to the table and I was not asked what was wrong with my meal, despite my obvious disgust with it. All of this combined with the lame classic rock band playing at max volume upstairs made for an extremely unpleasant dining experience. I suspect they may be paying for reviews as 3.9 is a staggeringly high rating for a restaurant, (and, i use the term loosely) of this caliber. I would highly recommend picking up your feet and walking across the street to the Argentinian restaurant, by every metric it is...
Read moreStopped for a cocktail in the late afternoon, This must be one of the most noisy locations in PE as it is situated right on a busy roundabout.
There was only one, very sweaty, guy serving and the service was slow. There were only 4 customers at the time. He appeared to be serving drinks while readying the kitchen to make food.
There was a sign outside stating 'Happy Hour' with reference to cocktails. Don't make the mistake I made and think happy hour applied to all cocktails. Furthermore, it may be a local thing but traditionally Margaritas are made with sugar syrup, not by dumping a tablespoon of sugar in the glass - which thankfully remained undissolved!
I...
