Cafe Choc — Restaurant in Oaxaca

This place is my favorite cafe to visit in Puerto. Everytime im in the area, i make a point to come visit. Its an incredibly comfortable space to sit down and relax in the shade, and draw or read a book or catch up with friends.

The staff is very warm and friendly, Dove, the owner, is extremely welcoming and generous and it feels like im visiting family when i come by.

Their coffee is excellent, particularly their cappuccinos, but their natural fruit juices are also really good. I often struggle to decide what to get, so sometimes both. Also they serve really good crepes. They have cakes too, but I've not tried those yet....

After finding this place searching for a good coffee, we ended up coming here twice a day for the rest of our stay in PE. Once in the morning for a beautiful strong flavourful coffee that reminded us of our home in Melbourne, followed by a slice of arguably the best flour-less mud cake I have ever tried.

The host was clearly passionate and knowledgeable about coffee and taught us things about even our own city.

Every time I go here I am leave a better person! The chocolate cake is amazing, all the drinks are spot on and the other day I had their special of coffee and pumpkin pie and it was better than my moms! Not only does this place have a great location, friendly staff, books and the best home-made peanut butter- the owner Dove is one of the most interesting, helpful people you can meet.
