I rarely give perfect ratings but Perche No deserves it. 5 stars out of 5 stars
The first restaurant my wife and I ate at during our first trip to PDC was Perche No... we had a pizza delivered to our hotel "residence inn" just a minute away.
Maybe it was late maybe we were hungry but that pizza was gone in less than 5 minutes...it was spectacular pizza. The bottom had leopard spots, the sauce was fresh and sweet, the cheese was full of flavor but not runny or hard and the pepperoni was the star of the show...very little grease which allows you to taste the dough the cheese and the pepperoni separately with each bite.
After that first trip we decided to move to PDC. Been here almost 4 years and we've been to perche no more times than I can remember... at least 20 times a year and that's on the low end.
The pizza is amazing but the other food is just as good. My wife loves their pastas and salmon and I really love their shrimp Cesar Salad.
The prices are probably the best in PDC for such high quality food. The atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. The decorations are simple, the fans and air conditioning work very well and the outside seating is really fun when its packed...tons of energy.
Big thank you to the entire Perche No team for their hard work and dedication to customer service and providing the best results.
My wife and I recommend Perche No to everyone and other than Bovinos its my highest rated restaurant in PDC. Overall...
Read moreFood took forever to come, cocktail was so watered down it barely tasted like anything, food was extremely disappointing, the quality was just not there. The opening statement - bread - it was blah, the olive oil did not taste like anything, balsamic - skip it, not worth it. Meat was chewy, risotto was just ok . Even the coffee … it was not Italian coffee, I did not taste lavazza or illy I have no idea what kind of coffee it was. Dessert was not made from scratch it tasted like something you would buy at the store and warmed it up. I was shocked based on other reviews, I expected way more in terms of taste and quality based on other reviewers. I had high expectations and was highly...
Read moreExcellent Italian restaurant. I got the tagliatelle alla norcina which was fantastic, even as someone who prefers lighter pasta dishes. I also had a few slices of the pizza perche no, which was unbelievably delicious. Fantastic ingredients, and legitimately perfect dough. Additionally the profiteroles were a great dessert to finish off the meal. Only a few notes which were luckily fully overshadowed by the brilliance of the rest of the meal; the starting bread was a bit subpar to my taste and service took a little long but it was a busy night so not really the fault of the restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Italian cuisine in Playa. Get the...
