Aristos Beach — Restaurant in Progreso

I visited twice this week. First time, food and service were great. Waiters were fast, welcoming and professional. I was served botanas while waiting for the main dish, all of them really tasty. The quality of the food, service and environment (I was seated at the first floor terrace) made me come back. Second time, experience was terrible. I was seated downstairs, I was served by 2 young ladies and a guy, all of them inexperienced and unprofessional. I was not served any botanas, the food was ok but not as good as the first time. Toilets were disgustingly dirty. Overall, terrible experience. I will only dine again at this place if I can get a table upstairs where the everything seems to be running smoothly and service is good. Avoid the downstairs area and the unprofessional team...

This is a place off the beaten path of most restaurants in Progreso. It is also worth finding. We found it again after being there several years ago. We went in for lunch which is much less busy, but no less delicious. The food is delicious and the service is great. The only downside that I can mention is stay away from the hamburgers. Not the best burger ever. I can recommend anything else. DELICIOUS.

P.S. My wife and I recently revisited Aristos Beach (March 2023). Man-o-man has this place fallen. The food was marginal, the service was worse. I don't know what happened over the last 2 years, but...

We popped in for the MX 🇲🇽 fifa ⚽️ game. We were sat at a table by the window which made for a nice breeze on a hot afternoon. The service was OK. It was about half full when we arrived then all full just after the game started. We had to wave down our server several times to get refills on our drinks as he seemed a little preoccupied with the game himself.
