Must try ice cream in here!

Found this place by pure chance when walking back to Puebla's center. Wife and I got inside and started checking the ice cream. Around 20 seconds later, we were kindly greeted by the owner (didn't know who she was at this point). We kept on looking at the flavors and she asked if we wanted to try any. We tried mamey and jamaica albahaca. As a first time trying mamey, it was too sweet for our taste but still good. Now... the jamaica albahaca (hibiscus + basil) was otherworldly. This may be a bit biased as we really like basil, personally I looooove it, there's never enough basil for me! As we tried the jamaica albahaca we knew we were going to have some ice cream. Even though mamey was a bit too sweet I wanted to be sure and ended up asking for 1 scoop together with 1 scoop of jamaica albahaca and 1 scoop of nocciola. The mamey was still too sweet (for our taste) but good, the jamaica albahaca is... Heaven and the nocciola was very good. We found that the jamaica albahaca and nocciola associated quite good. The ice cream was so good that we forgot about taking a picture.

After having the ice cream, I started snooping around and was asked if we wanted a coffee or anything else by the same person. I started chatting with her and asked her if she was the owner and so we had a little talk. The owner explained that she was the granddaughter and had inherited all the savoir-faire from her Italian grandfather who also used the make his own pasta.

All in all, this is a very pleasent place to take a break together with some nice ice cream.

TL;DR: Do yourself a favor and give their ice cream a try, you will...

This is an absolute disrespect and disgrace to call this 'ITALIAN ICE'. Every Italian would turn back into their grave after tasting and seeing this. The ice was super rough, not creamy at all. Still had to chew on the 'ice'. And the taste was so fake and bitter. And the price they ask for this mess is absurdity. I could have 4 delicious...

Sitio ideal para refrescarse del calor después de una caminata por este Pueblo Mágico o para tomar postre después de la comida. Se ubica a unos pasos del zócalo de San Pedro Cholula. La carta se compone de helados, entremeses salados, estilo tapas españolas, churros y bebidas calientes y frías. Los sabores de los helados varían por día, y hay tanto de agua como de leche. Los precios son módicos: por ejemplo, un helado sencillo cuesta 35 pesos. Sugiero el de jamaica con albahaca, ginebra, nogada o el de chocolate con leche. Existe un pequeño espacio para los niños, con pizarrón y juegos de mesa o para armar. Dos de sus mesas tienen diseño de cabina, lo que brinda un espacio con cierta privacidad. La atención está a cargo de un grupo de jóvenes y es eficiente y respetuosa. Los helados los producen ellos mismos. El sitio es familiar y lo recomiendo...
