First off, almost all of the 5 star reviews here are COMPLETELY FAKE / prompted, which is a bad sign. Dozens of the same review, two sentences always stating the name of the waiter, from accounts with exactly one review, all in the same time period. It's pathetic and Totally dishonest. But once you eat here, you'll understand why they feel the need to fake reviews...
First, it's a tourist área where People shove menus in your face. That usually means avoid, but we saw they had a decent craft beer list and gave it a shot.
Well, 95% of the craft beer on the menu isn't available. They had two. We should have probably moved on (the excellent Bilderberg Taproom is right across the street), but we decided to grab a light meal.
The cóctel de camarón was lukewarm (should always be cold and fresh) and bland.
The ceviche was the worst I've ever had. It completely lacked any acid at all (the defining feature of ceviche) and salt. I have never had bland flavorless ceviche; preparing it makes that virtually impossible... Lime is required to even make ceviche, but this tasted like absolutely nothing. I ate two bites, tried to fix it with lime and salt (which took walking into the bar to get, despite being the only table at the time, there is virtually no service). Couldn't be fixed, got the check and left.
The waiters spend more time trying to grab people off the street than serving tables, well table since we were the only one.
I hate writing bad reviews, but this is easily in the all time bottom three restaurant experiences I've ever had. Awful food, awful service, and don't think they will take anything off your bill even if virtually untouched.
I am not a privileged tourist, we live here. This is a hard avoid. If you guys want to turn things around, start by removing all of the fake reviews, and put some work...
Read moreHorrible service and very slow. The staff was just laughing and talking among them while I waited for over 25 mins for a Chile en nogada that never arrived even though the lady said it should take about 10 mins. And the place was not even crowded to justify that. I ended up leaving to another restaurant down the street that only took about 7 mins to make it. Stay away unless you have a lot of time to spare. I can’t speak about the quality of the food because I could...
Read moreGreat deception. They just do not know how to cook and treat their guests. The meat is just inedible , I don’t recommend it at all. Their mexican food is the worst in the whole Puebla. Don’t waste you money and your time there. And the worst part is, if you cannot eat the food (because it is horrible) they charge you anyway and they still...
