Restaurante Cardamomo — Restaurant in Puebla

I'd give this place 10000 stars if I could. Quite possibly the best restaurant experience I've ever had!

We were walking around trying to find a restaurant in the area and found Restaurante Cardamomo which happened to have a 5-star rating and dared ourselves to prove a restaurant could actually be that good. We went into it expecting to be disappointed since a 5-star restaurant is hard to fine anywhere.

We were totally blown away.

The staff was absolutely wonderful. I've never had anyone care about our experience as much as they did. I felt it. They all cared so much about what they were doing.

The drinks were fantastic. Get the Leche Gin Martini. The flavor was out of this world.

The FOOD! We ordered the Chorizo taco, took one bite and ordered another before I could swallow the bite (tried the Asado version and it was even better). Then the Picaña steak came. If you don't order this, I will hunt you down and force feed it to you, because the flavor was absolute perfection in a steak. We ended the meal with a delicious Apple Strudel and ice cream to cap off possibly the best overall meal and experience I have ever had.

It was such a cute little restaurant and we felt pure happiness at the end of the meal. It's hard to say exactly why, we've had a lot of good meals over our lifetime, but we couldn't stop talking about it after...

When was the last time you enjoyed a meal and were 100% satisfied afterward?! This place will do that for you. We were actually en route to Container City and found that it was mostly closed....so it was dark and we were hungry and needed to pivot. My husband found Cardamomo on Google and saw that they had a 5.0 rating. Well, I can officially say- they've earned that rating! They were friendly, attentive, and the food was AMAZING! I recommend the Picaña and a Marg! For dessert, try the Apfelstrudel. When my husband, friend, and I left, we wanted to cry out of happiness. We were so full and happy and just had such a great experience with the whole crew...

Sin duda, Cardamomo es uno de los mejores lugares en los que hemos comido. Cada plato nos sorprendió con su sabor profundo, su presentación impecable y esa combinación perfecta entre lo creativo y lo reconfortante.

Las entradas son una joya: el aguachile de res es simplemente espectacular. Los cortes, los tacos y el guacamole con chicharrón carnudo (el más sabroso que hemos probado en mucho tiempo) fue tan bueno que tuvimos que repetirlo.

Y no podemos dejar de mencionar la mixología de Mich: ¡una verdadera joya líquida! Sus cocteles y mocktails están entre los más ricos que hemos probado. Se nota el cariño con el que los prepara: nada de escatimar ingredientes ni de hacerlo “al aventón”, cada bebida es una delicia por derecho propio y marida perfecto con la comida.

Y aunque pensábamos que ya no podíamos más… los postres fueron el gran final que no sabíamos que necesitábamos. Probamos todos (literal, todos) y cada uno fue una explosión de sabor. Una experiencia completamente religiosa.

Somos de CDMX y volveremos a Cholula solo por Cardamomo. Se ganó un lugar especial en nuestro corazón (y en nuestro paladar). Gracias por hacer de esta comida algo...
