Overall it was an okay experience. The restaurant is overly priced for food. I mean the value for money is pretty less based on quantity and quality of food provided. All curries have same base and tastes same and they have these added tomato chunks which fills up the dish without having much curry to enjoy. Veg and Non Veg both are a NO go, because the quality and quantity both lacks. Naan are frozen breads which the chef is just hearing up serving (no love ovens) Missing the most authentic chai of India 🤐 I understand that part because this restaurant is owned by a British and yeah still lot to learn . Ambience is ok 3* The reason of overall 2.5* is because the curry was spicy not mild (which we usually see outside India) Location is right in centro so advisable to park your vehicle in some...
Read moreI met the owner a fellow English man who convinced me that his place had authentic British Indian food. He really needs to remove that statement from his website. I ordered the chicken tikka mesala, basmati rice and a garlic naan ($224) The mesala (sauce) was not a creamy tomato base which is common in the British dishes, the chicken was tandoori, which was very dry and changed the flavour. The rice was not cooked properly and the naan not at all authentic was burnt black and tasted disgusting. After leaving the best part of the meal I paid and left very unsatisfied. I'm just glad that I didn't have the embarrassment of dinning with important client or...
Read moreThis is not authentic Indian food. The authenticity starts with the chef. In this restaurant the chef is not from India/Pakistan/Nepal and that reflects in the preparation and taste of the food.
The decor and ambience of this restaurant is really great. Unfortunately the food doesn’t live up to the expectations.
They do not have a tandoor to make the Naan as what they serve is store-bought frozen stuff. My meat dish had no traditional taste in it and then cut of the meat was not of an authentic Indian/Pakistani dish. The samosas for appetizer were not real samosas. The rice they served was not basmati.
Overall a very ho-hum experience and I...
