Restaurante 1810 — Restaurant in Querétaro

What a let down! This restaurant was highly recommended by our hotel concierge. First off, the soup was inedibly salty, however they changed it without much fuzz. Then, they served one of us fridge-cold rice. But the total insult was when we received some mushy gray fish with white sauce when we had ordered Salmon Ravioli. A server took it back to the kitchen and brought it back and said that is what we had ordered and put it back on the table! Then, we requested to talk to the captain only to find out it was a guy who had been standing close-by listening to the conversation but had not done a thing to solve the situation. He sustained that it was the dish we ordered. After we explained salmon is pink and raviolis are some ¨pasta pillows¨ he inexplicably continued stating that dish was salmon and raviolis (the dish had no pasta whatsoever). After some pressure from us, he agreed to eliminate it from the check. Then, the server had the nerve of asking if we were leaving a tip (Which is optional in MX). Too bad this experience stained our stay in one of the most beautiful and history filled cities we have...

Very nice restaurant at the Plaza de Armas, downtown Queretaro. They have a very cozy outdoor area with full service, where one can comfortably enjoy the view of the square just in front, absolutely quiet and simply excellent during hot sunny days. Staff is very friendly, goes fine with English, very helpful and fast. I had a local special, and it was served in a very traditional way; impressive.

Portions are not too big, but aren`t small either. My food was well cooked, nothing to complaint about. Several options of Mexican food (and not just the obvious ones) including traditional food of the region.

No sé si sea el mismo restaurante pero según yo se llama chucho el roto, y si no es este una disculpa pero le hago malas referencias a CHUCHO EL ROTO, que está junto, yo no vivo en Querétaro pero cada que voy visito este restaurante en el centro y está ocasión no fue la excepción, sin embargo el servicio fue pésimo por parte del mesero que nos atendió, un señor ya grande gordo medio calvo, fui con mi hija adolescente y queríamos disfrutar algún postre con café, y primero decidimos pedir una tostada para ella yo una sopa de tortilla una cerveza y una limonada, el señor se molestó por qué no quisimos pedir de inmediato nada de tomar hasta pedir nuestros platillos, ya que nos trajo todo disfrutamos de la comida platicando y todo bien... Mi hija le pidió un refresco y pasaron 10 minutos y no lo trajo, le volvió a decir y otros 10 minutos y tampoco lo trajo, ya que el señor se dedicó a atender a otras mesas que tenían más personas, hasta que le pedimos a otro mesero y lo trajo de inmediato, casi en el momento que el otro mesero nos trajo el refresco el mesero que nos estaba "atendiendo" fue y nos puso la cuenta en la mesa, si que se la hubiéramos pedido, así como dando a entender que ya nos fuéramos del lugar, como si no estábamos consumiendo tanto y su propina sería muy poca y por eso ya no quería atendernos, obvio me queje con el capitán de meseros el muy amable nos ofreció disculpas y nos dijo que nos daba el postre y el café gratis, obvio no lo acepte ya que hay historias de que les echan cosas a la comida de la gente que les hace algo... Y bueno íbamos por un postre y un café a pasar un rato agradable y fue todo lo contrario......
