Super fresh and tasty food. Everything is made to order. "Mr. Jaibo" Is courteous, friendly and professional. We had nice conversations with him about food styles and cooking methods. The ceviche mix is absolutely fantastic with fresh fish and shrimp and a wonderful acid balance. The taco de Camarones was a little disappointing as I didn't realize the shrimp were heavily breaded and deep fried, burying their flavor in the breading. But all of the toppings and other ingredients were fresh, crisp and well balanced with flavor. The taco Gobernador certainly sounded like a good combination of interesting ingredients, but they blended together into a indistinct flavor, with nothing standing out, leading or finishing. Yes, I'm being critical, but I feel that is more helpful for both other customers and the shop then another vague review. Certainly these are much fresher and more interesting than most of the standard meat and cheese tacos you'll get around here. Oh my good Lord in heaven, this is literally the best meal I have had since I got to México three months ago. We ate the tiradito de atún and it was unbelievably fresh and delicious. I could have drank the salsa petrolera with a straw. We also ate the tacos that Jorge recommended. El gobernador was our favorite, just out of this world!!! They melt the machego cheese on the tortilla so it's a little brown and crispy. Also the marlin was smoked and that taco was delicious too. They are so popular they sell out of some things, so go early! I cannot tell you how good this food is! We got to talk to the owner and all the staff, everyone was incredibly friendly and delightful. We are definitely going back (on Wed bc they are closed Mon and Tues)!!!! People come from all over the world to eat at this little hole in the wall, and honestly, I've paid 10x this much for food not half as fresh and good. Went because of reviews and was not disappointed. Simple but absolutely delicious and very fresh food. Shrimp tacos were filled to overflowing and full of flavour and the tuna ceviche was chunky, tasty and also a really generous portion. Service was very friendly with helpful suggestions, in English if wanted. Rustic but fun decor - people write their comments about the food on the walls and ceiling. Sadly didn’t do photos - only one of the one remaining taco. And all that for an incredibly reasonable price. Only small down side is a limited range of drinks - water or flavoured water, no alcohol.
